I've just completed the game (normal difficulty) and my main character, with whom I've spent around 3 months, struck the final blow and died (I just couldn't let Alistair do it!). Now I know that he can be resurected for further adventures but having made a point of playing through the game without a party death (lots of replays of tricky melees) that just doesn't seem right after all it wouldn't be a sacrifice otherwise; it's amazing who attached and moralistic you can become, it's just a game after all, but that's the way it is. In fact I miss the whole team!

I'm going to have to get to know a new character for Awakening.
