Why would their be lasting Choices in a 7 dollar DLC?

i think people were expecting an Expansion at this point

Thumbs down.

Took me an hour and a half, that was taking my time and using all the dialogue options.  The shortest of all the DLCs.

Five levels - huh.  Well, I'm guessing they are counting (1) find the scientist; (2) get the scientist out; (3) standoff at Robject Rho; (4) keep the asteroid heading towards the mass relay; and (5) escape.  That's a pretty loose interpretation of "level" considering how short some of them were.

No RPG at all.  Mostly filled-in dialogue.  Yeah, once in a while you could choose your reaction but...

Just underwhelming.  When I bought _Overlord_, or _LotSB_ - I wanted to play them again.  In fact I have played them on nearly all of my playthroughs.  Kasumi too.  But _Arrival_?  Why?

pros:
-level design was an interesting departure, they're definitely trying to make the game feel more complex especially since you're fighting alone, and i liked the look of the research base and the great vista at the end

The cover lacked some polish.  There were areas that should have been mapped for cover but weren't due to being somewhat improbable for use.  I felt that while the levels were pretty enough, not enough time or thought went into mapping out lines of fire in each area.  There were lots of awkward angles.  Maybe that was on purpose, though.

As fun as the combat has been in recent DLC's, I hope that every mission in ME3 doesn't feature grunts with flashbangs.  It's getting a little old.

What difference does that make?  This is a separate product that EA/Bioware is charging for.  It needs to be judged on its own merits.

Overlord ending - haunting
LotSB ending - great fight, and a terrific post-script if you had a Liara romance
Kasumi ending - pretty thrilling because of the chopper

Arrival ending - OH BOY ANOTHER YMIR HOW CREATIVE

Honestly I do not think the DLC was rushed , cause everything was very smooth .
Aside were there was a slight lag , But I do think they made a couple bad story choices .
But that has been discussed already in a another topic .
The too short is always going to happen , never a DLC that is perfect unless it is 2 gig or more .

That is your opnion , and you are entitled to that , but bunch of bad story choices lead to the unepic feeling , cause the choices didn´t really matter .
While everything in place was there to make it epic , that is the shame .

Rushed? Did you not read the news ticker at the right every time ME2 was started in the past year?
Would not surprise me if Hendrikson did his voice work as part of the original deal for ME2.

BIOWARE: Lance you still owe us five minutes of dialogue.
Lance H: Do I gotta be sober?
BIOWARE: Nope, actually we prefer you drunk so free bottle of Tequila.
Lance H: I will be there this afternoon.

This is a pretty good - and fair - review.

I didn't spend any $$ to buy this expansion (used free MS points) but I almost want a refund just on principle.

FasterTimes says" Unfortunately, you don’t really talk to many people due to the budget constraints of an expansion, so during a few particular moments when Joker would be chatting his head off he remains uncharacteristically silent"

The moment you paid 550 bioware points equel to 5 dollar or 4 euro .
And had a 880 mb download , didn´t that ring a bell ?
Sure you can be deluded and pray it is some kind of super compression , but the size alone would tell you .
It won´t be as big as Lair of the shadow broker .

Story element I already discussed in another thread so I really don´t want to repeat meself all over the board.
And defending meself from rabbit posters that leads to nothing .

Sure dissapointment is expected , but part is also on consumers , not on developers for wanting too much .
