Here is screenshots of the different armor models in case someone want to swap
models for certain armors using the item_variation.gda.

Heavy

Light

Robe

Cloth

It dont include DLC items (Black Emporium), because I dont find it
Screenshots primarily done for myself, so information on them can be incomplete. If it is good to search in files, you'll can find something new. Hoods and gloves for robes and cloth exist, but I dont screen it, because they dont need to me.

I didnt do it for robe, because there are many not working models, and group them into sets is very problematic

I noticed that you had helms with some of the armours, but that doesnt seem to be all of them, as i know i have had one light helm which isnt shown there...but it may that it is one from the Black Emporium DLC.

I dont find it. This screenshots only from item_variations.gda. In some sets of armor helmet is missing, either because it incorrectly displayed or does not exist

At least the helmets you did get show my favourite designs (from what i have seen), so i can finally get rid of some of the ugly ones. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

Has anyone done this for NPC clothing? Trying to figure out which commoner/noble clothing is what is giving me a headache. There's a rather nice hat on one of the ladies in the chantry I'm coveting.

Actually, I've found a small error, the _lgtd is the chantry seeker plate code while _dksa is the scavenged darkspawn armour.

By the way, you mind if I do more or less the same thing, but showcasing both male and female vesrions of the gear?

Someone on the Nexus posted some others (purely female, I think) here:

http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2262

There are a couple of other references on the Nexus that I've noticed. That one has two chantry hoods listed, though - there's a pointy one (almost smurfish, as the modder from the above link notes) which is hoo_chab and there's one with a veil over the eyes which is hoo_chac.  Dunno if either of those is what you're after.

Hmm, already started, and I've managed to find the heavy, non-faceguarded helms as well, I'll place a link when I'm done with the warrior armours.

edit: Here's a link, have no idea how organised it is really, I might have overdone it and disorganized it in the process of thinking about the non zoomed size of the font (8 normal)...

Thank you for indicating my error.
It looks really awesome, I hope in future we will see the same full reviews to the rest of clothes.

Hey guys, would anyone know the model for this armor by the chance?
Posted Image

I'd love to swap it in for some rogue armors in the .gda, but haven't been able to figure it out.
.uti names:
chest = gen_im_npc_elf_arm_cht_lgte.uti
glove = gen_im_npc_elf_arm_glv_lgte.uti
boots = gen_im_npc_elf_arm_boo_lgte.uti

I'd assume arm_lgte, glv_lgte and boo_lgte.

And you assume right! Thanks, silly how obvious that was. Still too intimidated by the .gda files I guess! :)

I have two different body armors that use arm_maso (Monolith's Heart and King Something the Forgotten's), and when I switched out maso for masb, they retained their color schemes.

img.photobucket.com/albums/v475/anime_merrick/maso_2_masb.jpg

My questions are: Is it possible to manually change the color scheme of armors via the editor? If so, can it be pointed out for me?

Edit: I think I answered my own question, which I'll try out once I get back home. Changing the material under item properties should do the trick, hopefully.

One question though remains - what kind of armor Hayder wears? You know, the fella who was whacked by Isabella and player in Chantry at night. Looks like a light armor but do not see it shown here, not under any "section". Or is his armor also a part of his model?

Ryuuchik: arm_medc. Whailor: arm_medd. They look different in the reference images because of their materialtypes.

@Twofold Black: so same armor may have a different look depending on material? Interesting. One thing what I have been wondering is how much effect the material has. In DA:O it meant a lot, in DA2 I haven't seen it make such a big difference. Or maybe we are not yet aware of the difference? How can one change the material of a worn armor (or armor in the pack, weapon as well)?

You can edit your save to change the material type. 2001 is onyx, not sure about the others.

Material in DAII is purely cosmetic. It determines what tint the item uses and nothing more.

However, quality of an item does have some effect on material. As a general rule, the designers tended to make the best weapons onyx, for example.
