I just finished my third playthrough, and in Varric's final summation for Cassandra, he told her that "everyone had to leave, well except for..." and said both Anders and Isabella at the same time.

I ran a pro-mage, anti-blood mage playthrough where my female mage had a fling with Isabella, a one-nighter with a rivalmanced Merrill, and a full relationship with Anders where he moved in and she supported him to the end.

She let Anders live and join her after the Chantry explosion (although their first Big Talk after they got out of Kirkwall can't have been easy), and it amuses me to think that somewhere my Hawke is on the run with both Isabella and Anders. Now there's a peculiar menage a trois. Maybe it will make Anders smile more often or maybe it will make Justice more irritable.

Either way, at least if Isabella brings home something unsavory from a side trip to the local taverns, Anders can cure it.

I had the same dual-voiced ending with Fenris and Isabella.

Obviously, since Varric says it simultaneously.

It's a fun bug.

Oh man. And Anders was annoyed enough when I called it a 'menage a trois' with him and Justice.

Fenris and Isabela would work since they hook up if Hawke doesn't anyway.

But Anders...I'm literally chuckling. I'm voting Justice would not approve!

Anders said it himself: She's practically a given, a side dish that comes with the main meal. So there you go.

Justice is a stick in the mud.

Fenris and Isabella did hook up in my playthrough, too. I have to wonder what he thought of the three of them riding off into the sunset. I see much brooding in his future, sans broody babies.

Don't crush my dreams! I like to think for once Varric wasn't lying...

Never had Isabela and Fenris hook up in my game even though in the playthrough where I romanced Merrill she was a friend. It's weird. How do you get that in your game when I've never seen it?

So priceless.

And Isabella brings a ship into the equation.  Footprints don't last in waves so escaping Templars would be easier, I'd think.

Maybe the 3 of them ended up sailing in Izzy's boat.

I ran into it in Act 3 while I had Fenris and Isabella in my party. Probably not location-specific, but we were in the Wounded Coast. Paraphasing: Isabella says to Fenris that she can't stop thinking about the other night, to which he responds that he'll expect her to come by his house later. She feigns shock and he says something snarky about bringing her flowers first?

I have a terrible memory, but I know other people have remarked on it in other posts here.

Edit: Found the text on the DA Wiki.
  • Isabela: That night, I can't stop thinking about it.
  • Fenris: Well, then I'll see you later.
  • Isabela: That was direct.
  • Fenris: I thought I'd get straight to the point. Were you expecting flowers or something?
  • Isabela: Don't be absurd.
  • Fenris: Then I'll see you tonight.

They also kinda flirt during act 1, which I thought was kinda offputting as I had been trying to woo Fenris at every possible chance.

My second runthrough I romanced Fenris and I noticed that as well, but I figured he wasn't going to jump her bones straight away, and based on the way the banter goes, it does take them five or six years to GIO if you don't romance one of them first. It's Isabella's Side Dish Syndrome striking again, I guess.
