I'm unable to leave shadow broker's ship and return to normandy as it crashes whenever I try.  I'm trying to play Arrival but I cannot leave the ship as it crashes every single time. Game has been fine up to this point, no crashes before hand.

It may be a corrupted autosavefile others who have encountered that issue have found going back to a prebvious save fixed the issue.

Well my only earlier save is basically to restart the final mission on the shadow broker ship and that one crashes before it even loads

I don't understand why the save's are all of a sudden corrupted. They were never moved off the original storage disk since being created.

What can I do now? and does Bioware even check these forums or are we all left to solve things ourselves?

Doesn't necessarily mean BW isn't lurking. I'd surprised if they weren't, given the recent DLC release. But we are indeed left to solve things ourselves; BW doesn't have any special tech support separate from EA's.

What I really need is the Base Level Name and a location of Normandy (a location in XYZ somewhere valid on the ship) to put my character in. I found out how to change this using Gibbed's save game editor but I can't find any information on what the normandy's base level name is.

Fixed it. Edited the base location to be Normandy, set location to 0,0,0 and everything works again.
