@HBC Deseden If Kenson's team had not been indoctrinated that MIGHT have been possible. It would have required extensive calculations as to when to cause the collision just in time to catch the Reaper fleet in the blast (with allowance to flee via the Relay before the collision) without giving them any leeway to stop it (e.g. by blasting the asteroid in debris)

With Shepard having to fight through Kenson's indoctrinated team with less than 2 hours on the clock and communications with the Normandy jammed (else ED-E might have been able to do it), there was never a option to do so. Shepard was an Alliance N7 Operative promoted to position of Council Spectre, never an astrophysicist.

Pffft, trial? I hope you have the option of doing it at the end of Mass Effect 3.

Batarians: Shepard has committed heinous crimes against the Batarian Hegemony, he must pay!
Systems Alliance: lolwut?
Council: "Batarian collateral, we've dismissed these claims"

Warn the colonists? LOL. They're Batarians. After that whole Terra Nova incident, the bastards had it coming.

I'm looking at the choice wheel and it's 1. Warn Colonists or 2. Call Normandy. I didn't even have to think about that one.
