Hey teacher leave them kids alone!
All in all your just another brick in the wall.

Actully I had little respect for most of my teachers, as most of them didn't know **** short of what was in the book the state sent them, and I helped with portions of a couple of classes, as those subjects were hobbies of mine, thus further lowering my opinion for them, and most government workers in general.

It's funny I want to be a history teacher and I will make sure no bully will pick on anyone in my class and if they do well let's just say I can a be scary:whistle:.

Lulz I'z scare them with mah van?

Lol reminds me of the time me and some friends were thinking of dressing up as FBI/SWAT agents and just snatching another of our friends without telling him about it, while driving by in my van, And in front of Walmart. I bet that would scare the hell out of some kids.

Pft I do not fear Billy Blanks!

But yeah history works wonders, just threaten them with death by the four winds or go into great detail on how the Mongolians pacified a region...on the other hand how old of kids are we talking about? If they are primary I'm not worried about them being scared as much as going   "WOW LETS TRY THAT WHEN WE GO HOME!" seems the younger they are the meaner.

Though in hindsight that would amusse me to see your whole down under seige by children claiming to be part of the Golden horde...now I am conflicted. On the one hand the need for civil order, on the other the pure joy of the natural order of Chaos..

Ah in that case, most of them are idiots, as long as you make it sound cool or fun enough 90% of them well do as you say, the other 10% most likely won't care, or will sit back and watch the show.

Boy we are getting off topic....

Being a school district employee I can at lest say this that in most states it is law that teacher report such cases were a student confronts them (or they have suspicions) of bullying or anything else for that matter. If they do not report they are not doing their job, and if they do report and the administration doesn't do anything the admins are not doing their job.

That said, as oppose to everything the teach you in class and Sunday school sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and kick said bullies ass political correctness and consequences be damned.

I used to get bullied in high school so I got fed up with it and punched him, and the staff intervened before he could react. I got suspended, but the bully never came near me again so it was worth it.

I hate to say that fighting back was the only thing that worked for me after a couple of years of aggro; some of the teachers were worse than useless and sided with the ringleaders, who were pretty adept at getting their own way. It's a potentially risky strategy to take, though; then again, I guess it's something better dealt with early than being left to fester. Even many years on it seems kind of weird to think that's all it took: a couple of unconvincing threats were all that remained of all that hassle. I guess it's true what they say about them being cowards.

Fighting back works well if the group are generally cowards and it helps if you have other people who can back you up while you do it though it depends on their character. Some will work out that there is 10 of them and 1 of you so if you fight them then they come back and jump you later on. So solving it with violence can make it better or make it worse. The other rare case is if they are really clever and have teachers wrapped around their little finger they could use you fighting back to make you look bad and you end up in trouble for it which sort of takes away the option of fighting them off in future unless you don't mind the hassle of being dragged into the office anytime you do it.

Just telling people to get in a fight is probably not the best way to be handled. You need to stop feeding them what they want if you want them to stop. It's a sport and they score points by making your life miserable and making you fear them. Changing yourself and breaking out of your "easy target" persona generally puts them off so looking at making yourself more self confident by working out the reasons why you are not and changing them may be a more effective way of dealing with the bullies than a punch to the face and who knows maybe you'll end up feeling better about yourself and able to make friends easier so you kill two birds with one stone.

Or just tell the lil fella to ignore my overcomplicated advice and smack some faces XD

At this point, I think the only thing I can add to what's been said is that your Brother should try to handle this off School grounds if he can.
It's been stated by so many posters already how teachers seem to take notice only when the Bullies get their due, and the way Schools react when they finally do react is sometimes so severe that he could actually get in serious trouble.
There does come a point when there is no other option than to meet violence with violence and you need to help your Brother decide if he's tried everything else.
No matter what, he has to handle this himself because involving someone else will just make him look weaker to the dolt that's bullying him.

You know what? Your brother should just fight this bully. Schools will only do something when a fight breaks out. Trust me, it happened to me in middle school. Your brother might get in trouble (which is BS) but at least something will change.

Fights happen all the time at my school. Nothing Changes. :/

I'm with SaM here, fighting only makes things worse for all involved.

I'm sorry, but you should take talk like that to a backwater hippie commune where such idiocy belongs.

not Getting into a fight where his brother can get seriously hurt is idiotic?

Cmon now. Seriously hurt? Unless he has osteoporosis or something along those lines that is very doubtful.

In all seriousness, what else can he do? Ask assistance from the teachers? Won't help. Ask them nicely to stop? Yeah, right.

The only forseeable way out of this is for him to stand up for himself. If he does not learn now, he never will. And then he will continue to be a weak little incompetant his entire life. Is that worth saving a few bruises?

There are people that do defend for themselves and they get suspended.

Exactly, this is true because of the politically correct world we live in. If that happens your gona have to fight the suspencion, threaten to sue! If you threaten lawsuit the school should immitatly back down.

And that right there is the real problem. Those who wish harm to others will never ever let such a thing as the rules bother them. Its like Criminals, the law means nothing to them. As far as Im concerned if my kids fight and provided they didn't start it, I would for show go all "We'll talk about this when we get home!" then high five them outside. If the suspension was more than three days, then I'll be making problems for that school any and every chance I got, till they reversed there hastety choice in the matter. I myself have no problem overturning the law and rules when the demand is there.

Honestly I find it amussing when governments **** about human rights, then break the most, and only true human right we have, as its built into our DNA. The right for one to defend themselves. Its **** like the above that alows it to build up, and keep building till someone brings a gun, knife, or bomb to get revenge.

Therein lies the rub.

The school has a reputation to uphold and looks better the fewer incidents are on record. Unless a bullying situation gets serious it is likely to be ignored. Also, counting on the teachers to help you is overstating their power. Reporting is about all they can really do outside of heart-to-heart talks that are as likely to do more harm than good.

Your best bet is to make sure the administration can't ignore the situation.

Actully at times for political reasons they do ignore it. Here since I've left school what was bad is now worse. See our region is pretty fragmented, smaller towns and the like that are culturally or racialy different from each other. Like one closed off self centerd town has always hated everyone not from there.

So goverment comes in with a brilliant idea, rather than enlarging remoldeling the current High Schools they decide to build two brand new ones and throw all these various groups together. The schools ran over budget by double the figures, still have teething troubles 7 years later. And durning the first year of Operation they threw all the poorer regions into one, while keeping the other for the more wealthy urban centers. The poorer one had massive dropout rates from bullying. And its gotten worse. Any and all problems have been ignored, and everyone votes for the same person or who is friends with the former in power, reguardless of whats done or not done.

Edit removed my fallowing rant.

I was never bullied. Boys are usually more laid back here than girls, lol.

Girl groups were at each others' throat all the time, while the boys just sat back and enjoyed the show.

Higschool was even more fun in that regard 1:3 boy-girl ratio, so many catfights.

I remember that time in middle school when I was bullied. The guy sat behind me and was always talking sh*t about how I looked ( I was a little pudgy, and I always tucked in my shirt, it was a rule honestly) and how I was a nerd ( for simply doing my work...). He also threw paper balls at me whenever the teacher wasn't looking, and when I told the teacher he didn't do a thing. So one day after weeks of this I had enough, I threw his paper back at him which he threw back at me. I then proceeded to smack him in the face with my ruler. Then next thing I know book bags are flying across the room, and I almost threw an entire desk at him but security got us. I got three days out while he got five, and when I came back not only did I get respect for standing up, that bully also became one of my friends.

I held all my anger about it in until I exploded and got in a few fights. got suspended a few time, Got suspended when I yelled at someone because all day they kept hitting me on the back on my sun burn. Got suspended for attacking someone who pushed me over the chuck of wood. I say teacher don't do the right think most of the time. The punish the kids the have outburst but they don't get to the root of the problem which is the other kids that constantly antagonize them looking for a result.

Basicly I was deemed the problem for standing up for myself.  So I learned that year not mathmatic not grammar not science but to hold it all in until I got home then have take it out on a  tree with a bat, take it out on a pillow. take it out on anything I could that wouldn't be harmed. See the violince isn't the problem its a side effect of the problem.

School violence is widely held to have become a serious problem in many countries, which is crazy. It's not getting you nowhere, just tell your parents or the school's headmaster/principal and I'm sure it's all going to be fine with your bullying problem.
