What I cant for is the reveal that the Illusive Man sold Shepard/loveinterest sex video for millions of credits to raise money for Cerberus.

That won't be enough.

The intel power to start a war in 10 minutes isn't enough to thwart the Shepard whitewashers?
A few politicians would have their careers and lives ruined, and the other people eager for Shepard's blood will notice the pattern of ruination upon those who try to tear Shepard down politically, and wisely back off.
I hope Udina becomes one of the warnings to the rest...

I'm positive that was hyperbole.
A few politicians take heat and others will take their place. Not all of them will have any dirt you can dig up on them.
The Shadow Broker is not all powerful. After all, if he were Cerberus wouldn't have been able to take him down.

If you actually took the effort to get to know Liara as a character, you would also know
that she isn't the type to succumb to hyperbole. Not even when suddenly
presented with the keys to the galaxy's greatest information trove. She's had fifty years of experience in humility, what with no one really taking her research seriously yet still pursuing it.
Also,
the Shadow Broker had plans to deal with Cerberus already in place or
evolving. And don't forget that it wasn't Cerberus who took him down --
it was Shepard and Liara, who doesn't like Timmy or his organization any
more than the former SB did.
Getting back to the trial itself:
Why
are you so convinced that all of Shepard's past misdeeds are going to
be brought up then as well? First of all, Hackett clearly says that
these proceedings will be about the Arrival Incident. No judge or
military tribunal would allow the prosecution to even look at the other
"black marks" in Shepard's file, and no
competent prosecutor would even try to bring it up. The things you bring up are other
matters, all of which are either outside Alliance jurisdiction or stuff the Alliance couldn't pin on you even if they wanted to. Thane is not wanted in Alliance space, and how could anyone know it was you who bailed Jack out of prison -- even the SB didn't know that it was Shepard in particular, not to mention that no one beyond your squad and the SB even knows that Kasumi is working with you, let alone whether or not she has the greybox. As for killing Vesir, hell the Coucil themselves would likely thank you for doing so after learning that she was double-dealing for the SB while killing civilians.
Not to mention the stuff Shepard does for the Alliance while ostensibly under Cerberus's payrol...

Considering the kind of things that it seems the SB Network can dig up, I think it wouldn't be too hard to dig up dirt. They got the specifics on Timmay's suit and current vice-related consumptions fer cryin' out loud.
And they're politicians. They all have skeletons in the closet. No exceptions. And if they learn that their predecessors had dirty little secrets somehow slip out, they'll keep their mouths shut on Shepard. Especially if LiaraBroker sends them a little email reminder.
As for Cerberus... The Shadow Broker network and Cerberus would have the mutual interest in not getting Shepard screwed. Even if you gave Timmay the middle finger by blowing up the Collector base, Shep is still the best chance humanity has to weather the Reaper threat. Timmay is nothing if not pragmatic.
And lastly... Cerberus did not take down the Shadow Broker. They took down the previous person holding the mantle. The network itself is still intact, and now has someone heading it with a concerted interest in aiding Shepard.

There's no guessing at which speeds the Reapers can travel, but with the standard FTL speed used elsewhere (12ly/day) it wouldn't take months but years. Judging from the galaxy map, the distance between the arrival point and Sol is about 25% of the galaxy's diameter, i.e. about 25000 ly. Makes about 4.5 years.100k wrote...
Can't be. The point of destroying the relay was to delay the reapers. It would take several months for them, traveling at FTL speeds, to reach Sol.
But we can be sure Bioware will find a way to compress time...again.
They're not heading directly for Earth at FTL speeds, though. They're going for the next-nearest mass relay, either primary or secondary. They'll still be zooming through the void for quite a while.

And unless there's another "alpha relay" that they can re-destination anywhere, they'll have to pass through other relays, which would be VERY conspicuous.
