To  whomever at Bioware that would have the task of modifying the engine ...

Is it possiblle to create a  key bind toggle to allow:  alway on mouse look ( no more holding right mouse button constantly), default would still be hold it  to use mouse look.

Also,  a related matter, is it possible to create or allow the assigning of a key bind for "select/use" ? presently it is right "click" on the mouse .

I'm not sure if they must be done within the engine ( ie hard coded for all intents and purposes) or can be manipulated through the toolset.

Any reply  would be appreciated

You can set usable items to the talents/spells bar at the bottom so you don't have to go to your inventory to use them. Just drag them there.

Thanks but actually, I meant an answer to this question -
"Is it possiblle to create a key bind toggle to allow: alway on mouse look ( no more holding right mouse button constantly), default would still be hold it to use mouse look?"

As much as I hate bumping old threads, this was never answered, and the thread came up in a search I did on google for this very thing.

I don't usually buy games without permanent mouselook, without having to hold a button.  I didn't realize the PC version didn't have this, and am so used to the RPGs and FPS games I play having that setting, that I didn't think to look into that before buying.  I bought this for the PC because I love it on the 360, and I'd like to be able to play it when I'm at work, and on the road.

The game itself is awesome, and I'd love to play it on my PC, but without having to work to have mouselook, for me it isn't worth playing. I'm not in any way knocking Bioware or DA, I'll continue to play it obsessively on the 360. However, I'd like to know if there's any possibility of being able to set mouselook permanent later on in the future.

And keep up the good work on the game in general, it has almost completely taken over my 360, lol.

Whether you're a brother

Or whether you're a mother,

You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Feel the city breakin'

And ev'rybody shakin'

And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha,

Stayin' alive.

Stayin' alive.

Ah, ha, ha, ha,

Stayin' alive.

Nice way to bump a thread. I did some looking around and experimenting, and I can't find a way to lock/unlock the look feature. In Options, "Pan camera" is supposed to be mapped to the middle mouse button/wheel which, to me, implies that it should lock/unlock. However, we all know it doesn't work that way. On the other hand, this little error does allow you to remap the Tab/highlight key to the center mouse button. You still have to hold it down while you hold down the right mouse button to pan the camera, but at least it puts both functions on the mouse.

Janni, holding the button completely defeats the purpose from my original post; which was using mouselook WITHOUT having to hold extra buttons.

I noticed the "neat" little icons below our pics showing whether or not we've registered, therefore legally purchased the game. Even some kind of acknowledgment that their paying customers have asked a question would be nice. Though, the first poster was ignored for 4 months, so what should I expect?

Redwnf, I acknowledged in your post that it doesn't lock and unlock the look feature because I knew that's what you were asking about. I offered the somewhat awkward option of remapping to the middle mouse button simply so that both features (camera panning and look) would be on the mouse. However, as I said, I'm fully aware of what you wanted.

Has anyone figured out a way to toggle mouse look on? I've had the game for a long time but put off playing it because of this.

Nope. I think they didn't expect too many PC players to use WASD for movement

And what exactly would that accomplish. With mouselook on, you'd have to turn it off every time you'd want to click on something. Same basket, only more annoying even.

is there any way to drag "health poultice lowest available" to your action bar, or do you have to drag small/med/large and activate them when needed?

It's too bad they still haven't implemented it. They probably designed the game with console users in mind, not PC. But since mouselook is in the engine and only needs a way to toggle it, it should be easy for them to add in an update.

@ncknck I wouldn't turn off mouselook to click on things. I'd leave it on all the time.

Just started playing and was searching for this. If I could leave mouselook on, I wouldn't need to turn it off to click on things. You just have to point your character in the direction of the thing you want to click. I guess for some people (like me) moving around in mouselook is just more intuitive; it feels really awkward without it. If anyone has an update, let us know....

You know this is annoying me beyond belief. I just can't enjoy this game since I have to use r-click to move the camera. I'm about to request a refund.
