This is probably a really dumb question but i'm near the end of Act II playing as a rogue. The best armour I can find has rating of 190ish
All my companions have armour with 300+ ratings. Surely I should have better armour than them?
Have I missed some armour somewhere?

Ok that makes sense but even then my Rogue is still 270 tops (190 body + 70/80 helmet).
If thats the way it is then fair enough, it's not causing me issues. Just wondered if I had missed some awesome armour.

Actually, there are 4 slots for armor on Hawke: Head, Hands, Body, Feet. Add the Armor ratings for all of those together, and the armor bonuses from your accessories (if any of them have any), and you get your Armor Rating. Since Hawke has 4 times as many slots to increase Armor, each piece provides less armor. Companions, on the other hand, only get 1 slot, so they get a massive lump sum.
