The most emotional moments for you

-Shepherding Wolves. Ketojan is one of the most memorable characters for the screen time he gets, and his self-immolation is really heart-rending, particularly if Hawke tries to stop him. Great quest.
-Leandra's death, full stop. Especially because of the emotion in Hawke's voice as he holds her. This is the point that convinced me VA in an RPG like this is a good thing.
-Hawke's reunion with Carver in both the Act 2 finale and the Act 3 end game. I've said before I like Carver as a Warden better than any other option. You get to interact with him more and see his character grow and change. In Act 2, there's a moving little line towards the end where Hawke can bring up their mother that really just shows how sad both of them are. In Act 3, we finally see Carver move beyond his petty jealousy.
-Anders blowing up the Chantry. Of all the moments in the game, this is the one that hit like a punch to the gut. And as I've said before, I romance him in my games, which means this little move hits even harder. And those sad puppy eyes of his, fully expecting (maybe even hoping) to die for his actions...they never fail to elicit sympathy from me.

- Leandra's death
- The Keeper's death.
- All dialogue between Carver and his older sibling. Their conversations completely engrossed me in the game. Rivalry FTW.

When Bethany/Carver get kidnapped in Act 3. When Grace said to kill her/him I was totally saying to my screen, TRY IT AND YOU DIE, B**CH! GRRRR
Exploding of the Chantry - I was so shocked my first playthrough when I saw that. I just couldn't believe Anders could even DO such a thing. I felt so guilty when Sebastian realized I'd been a part of it. But.. I didn't kill him. I liked him too much. But second playthrough, I couldn't help him do the quest, knowing what he was going to do with it. I killed him during the second playthrough, but I felt really sad that I had to do it at all. He looked kinda sad to me as he died. Dangit Anders!
All of the Romancing Fenris scenes. Especially when he just walks up and says "I can't stop thinking of you" or something to that effect and its just all passionate. It was that first scene that got me hooked on Fenris. <3<3 So HAWT
The scene if you're supporting the Templars when you let the mages live. Just the look of surprise then complete hatred on Meredith's face had me laughing at the screen. I was all "muah-hah-ha" evil laugh at her.
The banter! OMG I was laughing so hard and surprised at some of the banter, especially the ones with Bethany and Isabela (Corrupting my sister! ISABELA!
The cameos of our loved DAO characters. I laughed when Zevran suggested some hanky panky, then Fenris was all "Try it and see how long you live." kind of thing. And I totally lol'd when Alistair called my Femme Cousland Warden (who married him) a ball and chain. Cuz I could totally see her smacking Alistair for it. xD
I honestly loved the whole game.

The music playing in the background, her reaction as she saw the fate of her people, how the elves reacted to her and were barely clinging to the old ways...
... She is such a beautiful, beautiful character.

Some lines feel kinda cliche, but it's just so gorgeous and heartbreaking. Adam Howden did really nice job in bringing Anders alive <3

*Killing the Arvaarad and releasing the Saaberas. That scene was just... perfect.
*Fenris, Romance scene Act 2 - "I can't.... I can't", Gideon Emery is such an amazing VA.
*Reunion with Carver Grey Warden. He really grew up... Of all the characters, he had the most growth.
*When the Grey Wardens arrive during the Qunari Seige. The Grey Warden theme made me heartsick. What a noble bunch. I want to be a Grey Warden again. Screw being a Champion.

Gamlen yelling at me and blaming me for Leandra's death : My head was hung in shame. I'd failed to save mom and Gamlen's words were like a hammer on my bruised and broken heart.
Isabela coming back and returning the book : It was touching that she'd come back to help me out when honestly, had I been in her shoes (or thigh-high boots) I could understand her want to cut and run.
Fenris (LI) and Hawke at the gates at the end : It was such a rewarding thing to see Fenris evolve through the story, he's honestly one of my favorite BW characters. His "Promise me you won't die" and "Nothing will keep me from you" followed by some steamy Tevinter monkey snogging was the cherry on the whipped cream on the icing on the cake.
Seeing Bethany again at the ending (or Carver) : I'd missed my younger sibling and to see how they'd grown / the person they'd become was pretty darn special.
I'm sure there's more, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

- Leandra's death. Full stop. This was the first scene in the first playthrough that brought me to tears, and still almost does every time I play it. Follow-up: Second game, I got the timing on a romance right, and Fenris's "I'm here if you need me" scene was also heart-wrenching, but in a good way.
- Losing Bethany in the deep roads.
- The fate of the Chantry and of Elthena. Even if Sebastian's ranting put a dent in it.
- I sided with the mages first playthrough. Orsino, you bastard! And Anders got the knife for betraying me and lying about it. I felt horrible knifing him, but them's the breaks.
- My sudden rage at Anders at the end of the first playthrough. So much for romancing him now. He can sit in his clinic and rot, except when his quests get us cool xp and loot.

- After Merril's act 3 quest, and with her romanced, her scene with M!Hawke comforting . I am not Merril's biggest fan, and still this was moving.
- After losing Bethany in the Deep Roads, talking Varric and Fenris down from killing their respective siblings. FemHawke's voice when talking Fenris down made my heart break for her.
- "If there is a future to be had, I will walk gladly into it at your side". Pure squee. <3

2. The end of "A Bitter Pill," when Fenris was ranting about magic, and my mage Hawke looked like someone had just kicked Dog. That was the first time I felt emotionally connected to my character.
3. Leandra's death--though I don't think it was the reaction the writers were going for, because I was furious. I felt like I'd been jerked around emotionally, and manipulated in an incredibly heavy-handed way. I don't mind being emotionally manipulated by art, but I don't want to see the strings or hear the strains of the Anvil Chorus in the background.
And the two least emotional moments:
1. Bethany dying. Yawn. She'd had what, two lines? I honestly didn't care.
2. The ending. By the time I got to that point, I was firmly in the "Kill them all; let the Maker sort them out" camp. I was sick of both crazy templars and insane mages, and had it been my choice, when Anders did his thing, I'd have taken my friends and said "Screw you guys; I'm going back to Ferelden." Orsino's action made absolutely no sense, and I didn't even have the satisfaction of killing Meredith, because her sword backfired. I didn't have any sense of accomplishment, just, "O HAI BUY OUR DLC!"

I must be the only person who didn't really care about Marethari. I dunno, maybe it's because I thought she seemed shady from the get go, especially after having read that short story.
Not the only one. As a whole, I was less emotionally engaged to Merrill's storyline and Marethari's involvement. I don't know if it's because the quest is bugged to trigger out of order and so my first reaction was confusion. Might have something to do with it. Merrill's also my least-used character, though, since I play a mage and haul Anders with me everywhere. I don't need three of us in the party at once. I pretty much only bring her out for her personal quests, which means I don't relate to her as well as the other companions.

I'll second that. First playthrough was a mage on a rival romance path and that tidbit felt like a stab. Great scene, that2. The end of "A Bitter Pill," when Fenris was ranting about magic, and my mage Hawke looked like someone had just kicked Dog. That was the first time I felt emotionally connected to my character.

1. The battle with the Arishok. My first playthrough was as a rogue and I was all "No, you can't have Is", and then we were dueling and I was just screaming "FFFFF----" in my head, especially when he shish-kebabed me when I tried to backstab him. Twice.
2. All the rest of the moments with the Qunari because Sten was my second favourite (Alistair ftw) character from Origins and I actually somewhat agreed with their philosophy. Especially the scene with the fanatics and the tortured Qunari. What did they ever do to you? Bastards.
3. Fenris' banter, I actually thought that he and Varric were the funniest characters there. I love black humour, so when Merrill said how Pol seemed to think she was a monster and he replied "you are a monster"... good times. And then, of course, there was the conversation about fisting.
4. Aveline + Donnic =
5. At the beginning of the final confrontation when Meredith acknowledges that not all mages are bad, but that she had to do what she felt was right. I thought she was a very well done character, and having read the books and played BG it seems that Bioware does an awesome job of creating villains that we can at the very least sympathise with, like Loghain and Irenicus. Not Sarevok though. He really was a loony. Still need to play NVN and ME.
But I'm going to stop talking now.

Meredith did have a slight tone change when apologizing to Orsino for what she was about it do. Even if what she was about to do is just letting him go back and get ready to be slaughtered. No possible redemption for her cause basically they didn't even give time to develop her until act 3.
Saren's redemption in ME1 has him shoot himself in the head. Loghain's is about always there once he is beaten at the Landsmeet. You can go further if you have him become a grey warden. Can even let him be the one to die to the Arch Demon. Just Alistair becomes either King or a bleeding drunk.

-Merrill mourning over Pol's body. She'd blindly taken on a lot out of love for all those dumb bastards. I hadn't found any way to like her before that.
-Leandra's death. It felt like her laugh-lines and haggardness evoked feelings about every longtime mother's sacrifices. Terrible way to go, aside for at least knowing her eldest had desperately come and also grown up strong to make her proud.
-Wesley's death. Mostly because of how important he was to Aveline.
-Aveline's perils in dating, hee hee.
-Isabela's humorous selfishness all throughout.
-Bethany having worse luck each time than I did.
-Jethann trying to screw anyone he fancied. Hmm, meeting with Zevran this time felt similar too.
-Lots of interactions between companions. "...magical fisting", ha!

Me too. When he says "Is there anything that magic has touched that it hasn't spoiled?" My mage Hawke looked like she'd been kicked in the gut. Especially since I was romancing him.darkrose wrote...
2. The end of "A Bitter Pill," when Fenris was ranting about magic, and my mage Hawke looked like someone had just kicked Dog. That was the first time I felt emotionally connected to my character.
Also Fenris' emotion during the first romance scene on the friendship path with him... so depressing. I felt so bad for the guy. "All I wanted was to be happy... for just a little while." And the line "I can't... I can't." Gideon Emery was amazing in the moment.
And one more Fenris moment and then I'll move on to the rest of the game... When he kills Denerius "You are no longer my Master!" *neck snap*. Just awesome. Again Gideon Emery did a fabulous job.
Also the first time we see Aveline. And she kills that darkspawn that was going after Wesley. "You will not have him. They will not have you." I tear up just thinking about it damn you BioWare! *shakes fist*
Anders blowing up the Chantry. I was like "Goddamn it Anders! What the hell were you thinking!!!" Actually my first thought was wow I didn't realize the Chantry was that tall. Then it was "Goddamn it Anders! What the hell were you thinking!
Leandra's death and the talk with Gamlen afterward. There is a conversation with Aveline after that but I think if you don't romance anyone you get an extra option and she tells you a story about her father and tells you not to let anyone tell her when it's time to move on "Just take their hand and tell them my choice." I'll probably never see that again (because I can't resist Fenris) but it was a beautiful conversation.
Carver and Hawke making up in Act 3 I love the character development Carver gets when you make him a Grey Warden. Not to mention Warden armor is awesome sauce.
And on an amusement note the some of the banter! The conversation between Fenris and Varric where Varric askes Fenris what he does in the big mansion all alone and Fenris replies "I dance, of course." Had me laughing so hard i missed the end of that conversation. And the conversation between Fenris and Carver about Fenris' tattoos was funny when you have Varric in the group. Poor Hawke! Or Merrill pointing out that Fenris is in love with Hawke and then telling him it's okay to be happy once in a while it won't kill him, but not to smile too much cause it might cause he face to break or something like that. I idea that Merrill of all people noticed must mean that Fenris has it bad.

I usually don't cry easy but I'll admit to shedding a tear or three when..
1. Mama Hawke died
2. Anders killed the girl.. his reaction after
3. Slaughtering the Dalish clan my favorite Warden came from
4. Bethany left for the Wardens (I got sad every time I saw the character selection screen)
5. Anders' face when he's sitting on the box near the end
