Ketojan - he was such a tragic character
Dissent - I actually yelled at the screen at Anders to not kill the girl.
In fact everything about Anders was emotional culminating in Jenga.

- I was jumping with joy when I see guys from Antiva and grinning from ear to ear during all Zevran dialogs. I didn't realize I missed him that much.
- Killing Anders + Orsino + Meredith made feel all warm and fuzzy at the end. 3 most dangerous person were handled and Kirkwall hopefully finally become a better place for all people.
- Tavern date with Donnic always cracking me up and after finishing that quest I feel really happy for Aveline.
- Last goodbye with Aveline and Bethany also very touching, that goodbye with Fenris (if romanced) both touching and hot.

A question, I didn't play previous dragon age games, is Sebastian and the black emporium the only dlc or will further dlc be released? And will it be possible to dl Meredith as a companion or maybe play her story??
-The way how Aveline's character progresses from Wesley's wife to Keeper of the Guard. I really didn't like Wesley but the way she did they will not have you made me shed a tear. Also when she married Donnic she kind of made me mad because I automatically remembered Wesley even though I despised him.
-Having Bethany die/join the Circle/join the Wardens. Bethany is my 2nd favourite character and I played as her throughout the whole first act. I kind of took her for granted and for every choice I made, I was afraid that Bethany might turn into an abomination or leave me or worse die. During my first playthrough I left Bethany at home because from Leandra's speech I thought I'd rather play it safe and when I saw the templars at home I wanted to do anything to get her back. Pity you don't see her until Best Served Cold, Grace and Thrask captured Bethany and I was willing to kill Thrask myself if it meant getting my sister back.
-Leandra's death
-Keeper Merethari's death. I'm on my 3rd playthrough and I'm starting to like the keeper very much. I can't believe Merethari would sacrifice herself to save the Dal'ish clan and Merill.

I'd say it's an interesting contrast to Zathrian; one can tell they both loved their people, but whilst Zathrian turned to hate and vengeance, Marethari chose to go with self-sacrifice.

That's such a good point. Zathrian was a plain horrible character imo.

Varric's Act 2 personal quest. I think the ending of it had more of an impact for me just because I'd found the 'unreliable narrator' beginning so funny. I felt sad for him about his brother no matter what option I chose and I think that's when Varric changed for me from a mildly likeable character to a loveable one (in a platonic sense).
Ketojan - I thought what was done to him was disturbing. Yet my Hawke stood and watched him kill himself even though she thought he was wrong, because that was his wish.
The beginning of the Leandra quest where Hawke is following a trail of blood. The voice acting for FemHawke sounds so panicky that I couldn't help but feel some urgency even though I knew how it was going to turn out, more or less. The scene where Leandra is animated defused the impact, because I grew up watching those camp old Hammer Horror films. It was so reminiscent that I half expected Quentin to sound like Vincent Price. I still found her speech at the end emotional, though. As was the short scene after where Fenris comes to comfort Hawke and does a poor job of it (but shows that he still cares, nonetheless).
Keeper Marethari's self-sacrifice was another emotional moment, but I'm finding it hard to like Merrill on later playthroughs.
Lastly I found Carver's last speech at the Gallows as a Grey Warden somewhat touching, just because he'd been such a jerk up until then that it was good to see a resolution of sorts.

Isabella returning with the relic. That scene is just...so full of WIN!!!
Helping Aveline court Donnic. I couldn't stop laughing and she was so charmingly awkward she made my fillings ache!
Varric going in to confront his brother in Act 2...alone and badass like Clint Eastwood in High Noon....I was freaking out at first when I saw the horde he was facing then blinked in disbelief when he started taking out multiple mobs with 1 or 2 shots. By the time he got to his brother I couldn't stop laughing because it actually took me THAT long to figure out he was bullsh*tting Cass.
Cullen's introduction scene (my canon in DAO is Female Surana and I adored Crazy Cullen in DAO). In subsequent scenes I was floored by his character development (he wasn't all kill crazy Cullen) and when he finally turned on Meredith and put himself between Hawke and Knight Commander Nutcase, I was cheering. He's even better on a Templar run if you stand up for the surrendering mages and COUNTERMANDS Meredith's kill em all order. And outside after the conflict is over, (on a templar run) when Cullen kneels to Hawke. Cullen has done a lot of growing up over the years.
Marethari sacrificing herself for Merrill. I'm glad i never bring Anders around for anything other than his quests (and when I want my sibling to be a GW). I think if I had I would have murder knifed him at that point. Very inappropriate and callous.

Mhm, this 1 is from my first playthrought - thoughts like: "God, I know that mages have maniacs of their own, but ****, there must be a better solution then templars!" All because of Bethany.
And 2 - and here I thought that only women can pull it off with such a skill

-Leandra's death, but specifically Hawke's VA work as she was following the blood trail through lowtown. Heartbreaking and terrifying. I was on the edge of my seat and I distinctly remember it as the moment that I decided having a voiced main character was a definitely a positive for this game.
-The Chantry going up. I had expected Anders was acting shifty because separating Justice from himself might kill him, and I was anxious about that...then suddenly events were unfolding and I realized that wasn't it, and that something bad was going to happen. Utter dread. And then the Chantry blew up and...well, poor Sebastian.
-Templar!Carver telling Meredith that if she wants to kill his sister she'll have to go through him. All things Carver, actually. He really resonated with me; he felt like a real sibling and having him come through for me in the end damn near made my heart burst.

I don't think he was horrible at all - on the contrary, he's a very tragic character in my eyes; he lost both his children (whom he loved greatly) in quick succession because of humans, and the pain it caused him was so great that he decided death wasn't enough to fulfill his revenge and created a curse to smite those who had hurt him and all their descendents. But in doing so, he also made himself immortal, forcing him to keep on living, and still suffering despite having taken his vengeance. Overall, his tale is tragic, plain and simple, and it makes him an interesting character.

Someone really likes long sentences.
He just seemed like a bitter hate monger character. Personally I'd almost consider just having the Werewolves kill him and all his people every time. Just the Dalish are awesome for the Arch Demon fight. I use the mages for the fight infront of Drak Keep. Between the Dwarves and Redcliffe Knights the melee is handled. I have to settle for this petty redemption that only really shows once he realized he could die.
I just couldn't find an ounce of pitty for the character. He just seemed to need punishment, just I am not allowed to do the killing blow. If you're Dalish his tone is nicer. As another race he is almost crass at first until he realizes he could use you. I don't know, I found it amusing that the Lady of the Forest and even Swift Runner seemed more reasonable. Swift Runner was protecting his kind. Zath wants Shemlen punished for Eternity. I bet he'd have even been happy if all Shemlen were made that way. All while he tells himself and his people that he rediscovered their immortality.

Carver's talk at the Gallows about how he likes being my brother after all had me all "d'awwwww."
Carver telling Fenris if Fenris had a problem with me, then Fenris had a problem with HIM, too also made me all "d'awwwww."
Varric seeing what Bartrand has become makes me depressed. In a good way.
The ending, because I was dumb and did not even notice the "sela petrae" thing (seriously, I am dumb), completely blindsided me and broke my heart because even though I knew Anders was going to do Something Stupid, I didn't think it would be that dramatically stupid, and oh my God my boyfriend is a terrorist wait I have to personally decide to kill Anders or not arghghghghghghgh.
Between that and all the other goings on of the endgame, I felt pretty drained by the end, I tell you what.

If you could kill him in a beheading blood bath fury then maybe I could do it,but that look on his face is sadder for me than when zombie mother dies.
*has a strange love/hate relationship with Anders*
When I saw Alistair as king I was all "aw that's nice." Seeing him as a grey warden? D; 'Come back to me Alistair!'
So that for some reason made me emotional.
My first playthrough made me all emotional because my team kept stabbing me in the back and hating on each other. It was all a bit too much for me D; can't we all just be friends, trusting friends.
I was better prepared in my second playthrough and keeping Isabela on my team the whole time (she didn't come back in my first) was a help because she has lighthearted banter and not 'I hate your FACE.'
I get too involved...

;_; I couldn't save her AGAIN. . .Why Bioware? Why do you do this to me!?
*cries*
P.S. please have Deborah Moore come back as the Mom or Mother figure in DA3 ^.^ it could be a tradition in the series, She's our mom we fall in love with her and then you guys kill her and get to feast on our tears.
It's a win win.

Anders' first kiss...you can tell how desperate he is even in that.
Fenris' reaction if you give him back to the slavers. (What? I had to try it >.>)
Carver standing up for his big sis even as a Templar.
When Merrill's friend runs from her and gets himself killed.
Killing Anders. Or rather, "putting him down," as my Hawke looked at it.
Varric killing his brother. He was my FemHawke's best friend...was rough on her to watch.
