Harbringer vs Sovereign Dialogue

No, its not their size or abilities.
Rather, its the writing of their dialogue.
Sovereign was scary, IMO. He elevated himself above Sheppard, explaining that he was the "vanguard" of humaniy's destruction. He didn't descend into a taunting 'mine is bigger than yours' conversation that I just saw in ME2: Arrival.
Yes, the voice acting and music were different for both but I'm focusing on what was said.
And that's the point of my post. Harbringer just seems really lame and I feel no fear of him/them. He's just a troll. For ME3 (if it's not too late) could the writers please remember to have Habringer maintain a posture of superiority and indifference towards whatever taunting that Shepperd gives...at least until they finally feel a real threat?

So yeah... he can walk the walk but not talk the talk.
EDIT: But I do love Harbingers V/A more than Sovereigns.

Sovereign gave (and still does) chills whenever he spoke... Harbinger I was just very neutral in my reaction.. didn't instill dread, intimidation or fear into me the way Sovereign did (and it's definitely due to the voice in a large degree... Sovereign sounded mechanical.. Harbinger sounds like a voice actor pursing his lips, stretching his lower jaw down and talking into the mic like: "Doooom.. Youuu are all dooooomed".
They really should have at least run a lot more filters / digitization over the voice actor's lines (like they did for Sovvy).

I think it goes without saying that both the writing and voice for Sovereign were immensely superior to Harbinger.

True. Everything you said. However, I'm still feel that part of the issue is that Harbringer is far more ego based (insecure?) as a couple of folks pointed out here. Harbringer sounds like he's trying to prove that he's scary whereas Sovereign isn't affected or miffed by Sheppard. He knows that he's talking to a spec of dirt and one gets a feel that Sovereign might just be right.

Harbinger was ONLY a descendant of the collectors.
Sovereign should sound more ominous and scary....by far.

Harbinger is a Reaper. He merely controls the collectors through the same methods as used in indoctrination (with the exception being that it's easier to control the collectors since they are merely modified Protheans who have no independent mind with which to resist indoctrination any longer).
How you missed / mistook Harbinger for a collector is dumbfounding to me... it was very clear from quite early on in the game.
Oh and also... it's not "Was" ... it's "Is" ... Harbinger is still alive, Shepard killed the collector general, not Harbinger.

I can why some people find Harbinger annoying since he is quite chatty [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie] I didn't thought him much menacing as Sovereign, but I really enjoyed some of Harbinger's phrases too, he just kept coming no matter how many times you "killed him", somehow proving that what you do is pointless, you cannot stop the reapers and their goals.

Harbinger thought you were cool and wanted you to join the club.
Of course Sovereign is going to be more intimidating.

Then you have that amazing image of him waking up along with the others as they make their march towards the galaxy that's the best image in ME so far.
