Some of my favorite in game weapon models – not over-the-top in size or proportion – paired with properties I find useful. These are new items rather than replacements or enhancements of those already in game.
All weapons level with the character and add as a baseline just enough damage, usually of the main damage type, to be on par with like weapons of that type and level.
Staves look like a pole arm or mundane staff; all the better for a mage incognito.
Greatswords add the armor of a decent shield of a given level for those wishing to try the visual style without changing their play style.
To install copy the file sh_weapons.erf into your override directory, usually something like “<documents folder>/BioWare/Dragon Age 2/packages/core/override”.
To put them all in your inventory, have vaddi installed and use the console command “runscript vaddi sh_wep”.

Still nothing showing in your Project Files tab? Looks like an interesting idea though.

By default files are set to group-only, he needs to change it to everyone.

Done. (They really need to make that sort of thing more obvious!)

Well, it works and there are some nice bits of kit.
If i had to make any comment, it is that it is a shame you did not give a couple of rune slots to the mage weapons (staff). If you corrected that, i think it would be pretty much spot on.
I wish i could mod .erf files myslef, but i just dont have the software or know-how.

I could add a couple, but I haven't played a mage run-through of the game and didn't want to over-do it; doing fewer things well as opposed to more things moderately as it were. If the consensus is that it wouldn’t hurt, I can add a couple of slots to each of them without issue.
Glad you’re enjoying it!

Well, for a mage, their staff is their sword, so to speak, and some staff weapons do have rune slots already, so a couple shouldnt be all that bad.

Hi there! Is there any chance of you uploading a screenshot of the models you used? I like the stats, fit right along in-game items I think

Looks nice. Especially loved daggers, never see that model in game yet other than Rogue Hawke Epilogue.
My only crictism can be look of mage staff. At least the one in screenshot, I avoiding any staff with DA:O skin with plague as they look very stupid with new animations.
Will download it asap.
Thanks for your hard work.
