You're still not getting it, that's his act, it's what he is known for, I find it easy to keep up with him.

I figured he'd be a little harsh on this game, but funny as usual!

Then let me rephrase yet again:

Good review, but his act sucks ass and should be changed.

well i wouldnt say he's wrong or anything but iw ouldnt say its good.

his whole act is really old and stale. im surprised he actually brought up actual points this time. have you seen his DA:O review? its horribly inaccurate in what the game is structured like and he spends most of it ranting about the fantasy genre as a whole.

its like that for most of his reviews. he sets aside actual points to make more jokes, this is the first time ive watched one of his reviews in months because they've gotten pointless. to think he's a "reviewer" is a mistake, he does satire comedy reviews that shouldnt be taken as actual reviews.

so everyone saying "good review" is probably stupid. amusing review sure. i can see why the hate train bandwagon is jumping behind it but please, go ahead and hate on the game thats fine. but dont support a one trick pony to do so lol.

because if enough people support him, then people will think his opinion actually matters and god help us if that happens.

lol his act is pretty successful. His videos get millions of hits per week, and his style has been hilarious for nearly 3 years+.

Most jokes would be bettter, though, if there was time to laugh about them before the next one comes.

You have really BAD taste.

ZP is probably the funniest show I've ever watched.

 That's what he does. It's not just randomly cracking jokes. He finds absolutely anything wrong with the game to rant about. That's what makes it worth watching. You'll get to see even the tiniest problem with the game laid out in detail.

I rarely agree with Yahtzee (and I only agree on the reused locations here), but his "reviews" are always funny as hell. :wizard:

Now, the question is if I have bad taste, or you very litte knowledge of comedy that you can´t find anything betterB)

Anyways, I don´t deny that it´s funny. I think it is a rather good satire, actually (even though I wouldn´t call it the best ever). It´s just, I prefer things spoken in a speed i can follow without actually concentrating. I might want to do other stuff, like watching the video and writing posts and do things on my pc etc while watching, and his talking speed prevents me from doing so.

You've said what you had to say.  Why are you still here arguing over nothing?
You must be awfully bored.  Maybe you should go play some Dragon Age 2.

Punctuation are the tools we use to make our language have structure. His entire premise is basically a stream of conciousness that eschews punctuation in favor of rapid fire delivery. Hence the title: Zero Punctuation

Ben Yahtzee Croshaw is the MAN. As much as I always say don't read reviews find out if you like a game for yourself, I always can't seem to admire how in between the humor and the straight up bashing of games, I can't really seem to find anything he says wrong, harsh yeah but wrong no.

I still get games he doesn't like but sometimes just to see what he was talking about. You also have to take a look at how he may be harsh and seems like he hates the game, pay attention to the good stuff, though it usually only pops up for about 6 seconds out of the 4-5 minutes, what he says that is good, if that is a draw to you, it's probably worth it.

"Dragon Age: Blooooooh"

Very, very good, spot on review.

I am fairly sure though that Bioware and Mike Laidlaw especially will continue their LOLOLOL U ARE WRONG THE GAME IS AWESOME LOLOLOLOL denial policy.

Bioware, stop making a joke of yourself. It hurts us, your former fans, the most.

It seems that this is the first time quite a few posters have seen a Yahtzee review. You don't watch his videos to really make an informed decision about the game, you watch it for the entertainment. If you don't like his style, then don't watch his videos. A lot of times it can be really hard to know if he actually likes the game. Almost every video review I've seen of his he rips the game pretty bad in his comedic style.

I thought this review, at least, was rather clear on what his opinion was.

and the attack that people don't undestand art if they don't like the DA2 story is just weak

I never said that one does not understand art if one does not like DA2's story.  I said that one does not understand narrative structure if one believes all fantasy novels or all games should follow The Hero's Journey or if one simply says the story was "bad" with no further analysis.

I thought some of his comments on the gameplay were a little odd (controlling multiple characters is kind of the whole point) as well as his comment on the story (it's supposed to be about Hawke, not a grand overarching plot.. the conversation with Fenris after spoiler kind of touches on this), but it was amusing.

I wouldn't consider the pinnacle of nerdiness to be necessarily bad. :D Besides, how could one ever be uncomfortable at the Pinnacle of Nerdiness with Morrigan at your side? Even if her shirt did say, "I'm with Stupid."

Why do you continue arguing with me if you don´t have to say anything?

And yes, I AM bored. Playing DA2 sadly doesn´t help, the attempt to do so, and the following disappointment, were in fact the only reason to come to the forums again after some months absense....
