I have done everything I can think of but arrival does not even show up in ME2 at all.

Have you tried clearing only the system cache, then turning off the console. Then next starting the console back up and starting the game and installing the update before continuing to the main menu?

Does the DLC show up on the the list of "Your registered game content"? You can find the page by hovering over the Profile Tab on the left.

You're on xbox? Have you gone to your message terminal after downloading the DLC?

Let me start by saying I haven't got a problem lest you think I do. I just wanted to add that although I have downloaded Arrival and played it through with no problems, it doesn't show up in my registered game content tab. (Some things just haven't oddly enough.) My very minor point is that it the registered content tab is not a 100% reliable indication of ownership (as it were).

I'm off now.

True, but it helps.

For mine, that page reflects my recently changed Gamertag name, so I'd guess it works ~85% of the time for registered users on this site?

Agreed Praetor it should.

On that note I will add that all (except Arrival) ME2 dlc shows up; but none of my bought off of XBox Live DAO dlc shows. (That's why I think it's odd.)

On a sidenote, Praetor: I notice you have DA: UE under your piccy. Seeing you help troubleshoot for so many on the ME2 boards I'm curious as to why I don't see your input on the DAO boards. (Sorry, me being nosy; you don't have to answer.)

Well there was another thread that mentioned that Arrival only displayed when using disc 2. Have you tried that?


Also, are your ME2 discs installed onto your HD?

And do you have any trouble with other media content?

It's a fair question, ME2 was the reason I decided to pickup DA:O in the first place. I was there on the boards for a bit when I first got the game, but I've lost interest going back regularly, and honestly I've prefered staying on the ME boards. But I guess I should check them out more often.

I've DL other Mass Effect content and all of them appeared without a hitch. What the heck is up with this one? Any ideas or numbers I can call would be a great help.

Thanks for sating my curiosity, Praetor. Much appreciated. I also only got DAO because of ME2, but that's because I wanted the Blood Dragon armour for ME2...only to find it wasn't as much help in the game as I had hoped.

Back on topic...

Dratkin, where in the game are you when you're trying to access Arrival? I think it only pops up after Horizon. (Might try and find a save to verify if I have time.)

Ok both discs Installed. Disc One is the one in my drive. Maby that is it.
No problems with anything else.

^ there could an issue with disc 1 and the triggers, but I'm not 100% sure yet.

If it shows up on the main menu when you select "Extras" then "Downloadable Content" then it might simply be some issue with the discs.

I recommend trying a save that is using disc 2. There might be something about the trigger from Kelly and the pop-up in the bottom right corner with Disc 1.



If that still does not help, then you could try to contact EA directly. I'd recommend logging into the EA site and opening the Support section to open a Live Chat session through their "Contact Us" tab.

I can provide instructions for that if anyone needs them.

Anyone else having trouble getting started with playing after downloading The Arrival? Every game save on every career I have saved will no longer load because, according to an error message " Downloadable content is missing", either The Arrival, Overlord, or Lair of the Shadow Broker or any combination of the three. Have tried deleting and reinstalling all pieces of DLC without any resolution, was hoping someone might shed some light on this mystery.

Yah Bud I have the same exact issue, I downloaded but, never get the message that activated the mission for arrival . I have also tried all of the above re downloading clearing cache even starting a new game and never can even start the mission.... ???? All of my other DLC are active and working and can go do them sooo wtf?

However I dont get the error message that deenybean above gets it doesnt say I am missign any DLC... It just never initiates the message to start the dlc

It's not often that BioWare staff post in these forums except for announcements really. One would hope they are aware of the situation and are working on a fix for the issue.
