If Origins was bug free instead of full of bugs and if Bioware would stop rushing the dlc and future installments, then perhaps it might feel closer to "perfect", though no game will truly be perfect.
Btw, Oblivion wasn't perfect as the game stability got worse the longer you played it. After 400+ hours with my battlemage character, the game kept freezing so much that I had to abandon my character, and that was depressing as I never got around to Knights of the Nine or Shivering Isles. Also, it got lonely at times having no long-term traveling companions. I am, however, looking forward to Skyrim and sinking countless hours exploring that world.
