How many of you would have liked to have the Saareba(Ketojan,I believe his name was) that you escorted through the sewers in your party? I was pretty upset that you couldn't convince him to follow you,and with the way he took his life. He just seems like a character who would have some depth and personally,I'd love to have a character in my party who understands the saying "Do not speak unless it improves upon silence".
It would also be nice to have another mage that has the ability to heal since Bethany doesn't stick around for too long and Anders seems to be giving most players (myself included) migraines.

If more people feel the same way hopefully Bioware considers this for an upcoming DLC.

I would have liked to see it, sure, another companion - an outlandish one at that - is always good.

Depth of personality would involve him being able to communicate though, and that doesn't happen except with the wand-thing his leash-holder person has... I seem to remember Sten saying in DAO that they cut out the tongues of mages... so I guess the slightly modified that?

An alternative healer to Anders would be nice, and allow the player a little more realistic freedom of role playing someone who isn't keen to pal around with an abomination - however noble his intentions might or might not be.

On the other hand, perhaps we are just missing our Qunari element from DAO a little bit? It would certainly screw the pooch with the Arishok if we commandeered one of his Qun people - and one so dangerous as that too. Getting around that might have been too plot-disruptive maybe? I don't know.

Would have been neat though, sure.

Now I'll have to admit that this here would have given a nice little twist to the game. Especially when dealing with the Arishock. Would love to have seen his face when he seen that one of their own was on our side.

Not really. I guess it would have been a nice twist if it were possible, but it's not something I miss.

He follows the Qun...so another Sten?
Well maybe he doesn't like cake and flowers.

Would've been interesting, but I'd really like a female Qunari rebel who got tired of being in charge of accounts at Qun, Qun & Qun Financial Services Ltd. and wants to kick some grey horned ass.

It would have been cool, but out of character. He had no reason to stick with you and every reason (based on his religion) to commit the honor-suicide. I don't know if Bioware would have given us another mage, either. Early in the game, if you're playing a non-mage, you have three mages, two warriors, and two rogues (unless you have the DLC with Sebastian). That's a fairly balanced party makeup, especially since you later lose Bethany, so you've got two of everything. Having a fourth available mage would be a little excessive.

If you're just going for the basic heal spell, I may be mistaken, but I think Merrill can learn it (though I almost never used Merrill because I dislike her character, so I'm not positive). Elfroot potions and the one that revives you right as you hit zero health are good for shoring up any holes in your healing. I found Anders only moderately useful as a healer. His main boon was that I didn't have to use a grenade to revive party members, but that was only usable once or twice per combat because of the cool down, so not incredibly useful on boss fights. Potions are your friend in this game.

He is a follower of the Qun. WHY? WHY did his death have to be so easy and merciful?

I'd imagine he'd be hiding with Isabella every time the player goes to the docks, haha.

I would rather have the option to convert to the Qun, my warrior SO would have done that. (then she would have moved her Anders to Seheron before the mess started)

Agreed. The more time I spent in Kirkwall, the more the Qunari philosophy made sense.

I would like another Champion. If I wasn't playing a Mage, Bethany was my go to Mage until she became a warden. After that she was missed dearly for her attitude and conversations, the rest of the mages were lacking in that respect. So I would like another mage, or even someone like Shale, Aveline can only be a tank for so long on nightmare.
Also I would love a new romance option.
Both my roommate and I agreed, Shale was dearly missed.

I would love if the achievements worked for the Exiled Prince.

Also I wished the Warden's were involved a little more in the game. The tie ins to Awakening were nice, and the few Origins I saw were great, but not the Which Hunt. I want to know what happened to Morrigan, she and Flemeth were very interesting characters in my opinion.

I wished the DLC items had actual monetary value. Even a few silvers would be nice. They just stayed in my trunk after I got half way through the first Act.

Overall, I thought DA2 was good, but not up to par with BioWare's average. I would give it an 80-85/100

Well, I wanted a Qunari companion from the start.

It is a little strange that there is no Qunari companion at all, seeing how they're much more involved in this game than they were in Origins.

How would you justify dragging a Qunari through Kirkwall, after the Arishok went bonkers? And why would a qunari join the party in the first place?

I do recall seeing a Qunari in High Town (The one asking you to collect the swords),and there was also another in the Hanged Man during act 3. The people either didn't mind,or just didn't want to start trouble I suppose. As the one Qunari said, Ketojan was obeying your orders because he only knows how to follow. So maybe he would follow you if you choose to defend him and through some convincing to bend the rules of the religion.

I was hoping for Ketojan to join. Having a Qunari mage would be AWESOME. Sadly he sort of lit himself on fire.

So if he were to join our party, would he have the NPC Mage powers in his ability tree? Namely, "Storm of Unending Rape" and "Aura of Unending Rape"?

I was bummed when Ketojan chose to off himself, I was hoping I could at least find a good home for him. He was like a lost puppy, poor little guy.

I don't think it was a missed opportunity.

For once this quest showed that not all Qunari mages are unwilling in their role. They believe in the Qun just like their 'masters'. Also, how could you have talked with the Arishok with a qunari mage in your group? They would outright kill you without a word of warning. Not to mention that the templars would probably be less than happy to have you running around with him.

He added more as an NPC than he ever could as a party member, so I'd rather see him keep his current role.

I love the Shepherding Wolves quest and I grew very fond of Ketojan in the short time we interact with him. This remains one of my favorite quests in the game. But it's not a missed opportunity. It exists to give further insight on the Qunari and another dimension of the mage issue. And in that sense, it works beautifully.

This is a game about tragedy in many senses, and this is one of those quests and characters who drives that point home. A Saarebas in the future would make for a great companion. But Ketojan was so memorable and his story so moving because of his immolation. The character and quest wouldn't have had the same impact otherwise.

He would probably hide like Isabella for the first two acts whenever you go to the docks. As for the Templars, Bethany,Anders and Merrill are constantly winging fireballs around all over in Kirkwall and they don't seem to care. So I don't see why they'd start an incident with him in the group.

I suppose you're right,that does make sense...I must just miss Sten,haha.
