Golden opportunity missed

He would probably hide like Isabella for the first two acts whenever you go to the docks. As for the Templars, Bethany,Anders and Merrill are constantly winging fireballs around all over in Kirkwall and they don't seem to care. So I don't see why they'd start an incident with him in the group.

Well game mechanics and story are seperate. In Bioware games anyway. You can fling fireballs in Cullen's face and he wouldn't notice. Thing is Anders and Merril don't look like mages per se. They need to cast spells so you know they are mages. A qunari mage is rather obvious.

I actually agree with you 100%. But DA2 plays by its own rules,whether they make sense or not.
