I'm currently on my lvl 12 warrior and i'm trying to change my spec, but each time i do it i get 2 specialization points and extra 7 ability points. I'm trying to play thru this game without being overpowered. Is there any way to use the makers sigh without this bug happening? I also want to state that this appears to be a rare bug of some sort that is not related to the famous bug that ppl use to get more ability points. Mine gives me a second specialization point that also gives an extra 7 ability points, the other one doesnt do that.

you only get extra points if you use the makers sigh. save and then reload from what i've seen on the forums. Yours is a new one.
As for 2 spec points you shouldn't be getting 2 at level 12. You get 1 at level 7 and 1 at level 14. So this is very new.
I'd suggest not using the maker's sigh until the patch comes out.

On that note, any word when the patch will come out?

I had numerous problems with the maker's sigh potion including extra specialisations.
Check out this post: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/315/index/6590488
The steps located there fixed the bugs for me. If that doesn't work you'll just have to wait until bioware fixes the problem.

I'm sorry red, it didn't work for me. This problem i consider differen't because i get exactly 7 extra ability points along with the specialization point. What's also strange is that this only happens with all my warriors and not my rogues or mages.

I also forgot to mention that this happens the SECOND time i use the makers sigh on my warrior.

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. The potion seems to cause a number of different bugs for different people. It appears that bioware might have to completely overhaul this respecialisation mechanic. I'm taking a break from my mage character until a lot of these bugs are fixed.

I have seen your issue before on one of my playthroughs Ragnarok. The only way to avoid any of the Maker's Sigh problems is to:
1. Make sure you have no other items in your potions tab, only 1 makers sigh potion.
2. After using it, fill out your talents, dont save and reload with unused talent points.
I no longer get any extra talent or specialization points when i do this.
By the way, this will not fix the extra points you already have, you are now stuck with those.

Tyvm all it finally worked! I guess i was did it wrong the first time. Really can't wait till the patch comes out, it's so inconvenient to be forced to only do this at home and not at the last second before an encounter that requires you to respec.
