Hello all,
I have ran into a situation on DA:O. I had gotten through The Deep Roads (which I'm sure is towards the end of the game) - the Darkspawn Achievements (i.e. Grey Warden, Blight Queller, etc.) hadn't unlocked. I looked around online and was told to delete the cache on the XBOX 360 from the dashboard.
I did so, and didn't install the patches. With this, I was able to unlock the Grey Warden achievement within a few minutes after deleting the patch. But, here's where the situation I have comes in...
I later then read, my progress for the romances (which I had three done), Traveler has been deleted and will not unlock when I finish up with those two achievements. So, I will have to do them again?
Is this true? Is there a fix for it? Please clarify for me. Thank you.
I have the Ultimate Edition as well.

There's something about your problem I find puzzling.
Judging by your opening sentence it sounds like you haven't completed DA:O before. If this is still your first game then I can't see how you got the Traveller achievement. If you have completed it before then it makes sense.
Most achievements are independent of each other, so Traveller is not dependent on the romances.
Some achievements are glitched, and I have read that even completing them again doesn't unlock them (usually Blight Queller I think); though the ones you're referring to shouldn't be troublesome.

Yes, this is my first playthrough. Sorry if I confused you, I meant to say it as: if I deleted the patch, I later then read my progress for the Hopelessly Romantic, Traveler and (recently found out) Recruiter achievement(s) has been lost. Therefore, it would require another full playthrough.
I just wanted to know if there was a fix for this.

Ah...OK. I see now.
I'm not entirely certain. Personal experience would suggest that patching down the line does not affect the achievements you have already obtained. (That's not to say problems will not occur though.) I think it would take quite a bit to get all romances in one playthrough, though if you can all the more power to you.
As for a fix...as you are likely to know with DA2 out it would seem that any lingering problems with DAO will go unfixed. Microsoft policies on patch sizes also provide a stumbling block if what I have read about the limit is correct which means patch 1.04 is the last patch we will have seen.
Since you already have a source concerning the achievement issue, does it give any more information for your potential problem?
Would also add that DA:O is worth playing several times at least to see the different origins, making the achievements 'easier' to obtain.
