I was doodling today in art, and somehow I ended up getting into it and... turning it into a picture of Hawke.



He's just so pretty! It's hard to resist. Anyway, I feel silly making an entire thread for this, but I couldn't find a general "fanart" thread. So enjoy.

I really like your artstyle it's very unique, it kind of looks like you drew it with a thick marker, but at the same time it's very high quality and distinctive.

Like something I'd find in a modern art deco gallery.

I particularly enjoy the background on the left, and how you put purple in, it really accentuates the chokra and cherry red.

Now some constructive criticism if you want it, skip a paragraph down if you're not interested. I think you made his moustache and cheek/sideburn hair a bit too wild, it kind of looks like he has a lemmy instead of Hawke's full beard. Don't get me wrong it looks wicked cool, it's just not Hawke's beardstyle. Because of his hair it also looks like he has a unibrow.

I really like his nose, I think you got it perfect, especially like the thick black line on it's right side, really makes it stand out in a good way. His eyes are also sufficiently intense I feel.

Hope to see more from you, you have a nice drawing style, like I already mentioned.

(PS: do you have a larger or high definition version? I'd love to have it in my DA2 wallpaper slideshow.)

Thanks, to both of you! And yeah, looking at pictures later, I was like, "whoops, I kind of made him a bit more fluffy than I should have..." but next time, my fanart should hopefully be less spontaneous and I'll get myself references before hand, haha

This is truly awesome, Juneya. I love your style, and I love the purple. The purple makes the picture really snazzy

For some reason I think the pic would be an awesome cover for a rock album or something.

And I dig how you just spontaneously did this. My spontaneous work is usually lame armor designs that never get even half- finished

Anyway, excellent work, I look forward to seeing more

This is great! I like how you managed to work in a lot of color, but it doesn't look garish.

The more fanart threads the better imo.

Especially as the quality of the fanart is so high.
