Homosexual Game Play Not Even a Choice

I agree with Bastal, Bioware has really flopped on Dragon Age 2. Not only are players frequently swept up in homosexual love affair conversations quite innocently - I got involved in one with Anders after telling him something about liking a man with a checkered past - then bammo! Flaming gay city - but even the heterosexual relationships that are available, just scream depraved.

Heterosexual males have to choose from: a pedophile affair with Merrim (who looks something akin to a prepubescent moon bat), Aveline (who is a fembot captain of the guard on steroids), or Isabelle - (also a steroid user - see biceps, but add in the promiscuity of a chihuahua prior to being fixed).

I eventually chose Isabelle because I wanted some bonuses and needed a good thief - I really had to suspend my moral character to even get involved with such a tawdry character, but it wasn't until later that my jaw dropped in disgust. Somewhere on the coastline, I met an old gay friend from Dragon Age Origins by the name of Zevren. Well, Isabelle just swooned all over the horny gay elf and decided to run off - I made the mistake of questioning the encounter, at which point she suggested a boy girl boy sandwich.

This really is not the stuff of role-playing games, but has gone well and truly past the point of political correctness. Not only are we now completely out of the medieval genre in terms of warrior maidens galore, but in terms of sexual depravity and homosexuality - we are squarely in the present day - I think that's what we were trying to escape in the first place when we booted the game up?

Frankly, the homosexual indoctrination and feminism might be tolerable if not so blatant and over the top, but the repetitive battle fields (how many warehouses are there anyway that look exactly the same?), inability to use half the equipment you come across and limited interactions with your skanky trans-sexual team mates - you have to be in their home to talk to them!? really snowballed into a pale shadow of the original (Origins).

At one point, in the **** house - yes, there's one of those too, I ran into an interesting character. I should preface by saying that my intentions were good (on screen text during loading hinted that there might be a quest involved if I were to become premier clientele) so I started hitting up the prostitutes (half of whom were male). It was with some difficulty that I managed to avoid most of the male prostitutes, but one appeared as a female elf. When I plunked down the coin - egads! The female elf had a man's voice. Where's the cancel button at a time like that!? The game forces your character into homosexual situations on an ongoing basis - so of course my character slept with the transvestite while I hit X for escape like I was playing Space Invaders.

Certainly some improvements were made to the game, outside of the homosexual character interactions (which again, are hard to avoid) in terms of graphics and battle scenes. But, the repetitive nature of the scenery and the fetch and grab quests, along with other silly elements really sank the game.

Origins was a masterpiece. This? This is the shadow of a masterpiece.

Thanks for your opinion.

Locking for rather obvious reasons.
