Why make it mandatory for us to buy DLC to see the true ending of Dragon Age 2?

The DLC will do the same thing DAII did, just keep you hanging, and tell you the answers lay in DA3. End guess how that one will end?
It's not invented by Bioware though. Television series have been doing it for years. And then, when ratings start dropping because people had enough, they write some crappy come together of events that "explain" everything.

That cameo is rubbish anyway. If player killed her in origins , she reappears and replies in da2 that maker thought its not her time yet, there is more for her to do in this world.
She's a cylon.

i totally adored the game. I have completed it twice, and yes i agree the ending was a little dissapointing in a way, we didnt really get to see or hear what happened to everyone, as we did in DA:O. The choices you made in DA2 weren't reflected in the ending, E.G. Agreeing to travel with Isabela, or running away with Anders. None of this was mentioned as it should have been.
I only craved to see more of ending becuase I grew very attached to the characters. I love these people more than the DA:O set now lol, and wanted to see what happened to them.
BUT for me, I do like a game that keeps you hanging on, it leaves a door open for YOUR imagination. I completed the game, the first time, around 1am, and went to bed thinking of what could have happened to everyone.
I liked Leliana's cameo at the end, it was nice to see her again and I hope she is going to be seen much more in future.

You didn't like it being open-ended? Too bad - it's not a play for money in my opinion. It ended with the world transformed, and that's a "true" ending as far as I'm concerned. I'm just going with this being your ten millionth thread trying to find something to pick at.
You HAVE to be critical if you want something changed. I wouldn't say that if only a few people agreed with me, but A LOT of people agree with me. If you want something better? Argue for it! I know making hundreds of threads isn't the best way, but hopefully the point gets across in the end.

I enjoyed the final part with Varric telling the story, but it would have been nice if there was more to it based upon our

Money? I think so. What about you?
Do you mean how 'Witch Hunt' was "mandatory" in DA:O to find out what happened to Morrigan ? Oh I see

You're not being critical. Being critical would actually involve you describing the issue you have with the ending in detail and saying why you think it didn't work, etc. That's certainly not what I got out of your post.
