Wondering which turn out to be more interesting characters, and/or have most interesting dialogue with the other two in my party.
Their stats are a non issue as I have the mod that allows respecialization.

Leliana, as I recall.

Personally, I think Leliana doesn't seem to have too many interesting conversations, unfortunately.

Of that combo, Morrigan and Alistair's conversations are the most interesting and humorous. Oh how they hate each other... :)

Zevran, I'd think. Leliana bores me with her stories and I can't make her gain any more approval at all. Zevran is a cool guy and has more interesting things to say.

Zevran's always funny, and an interesting character at his core. "More than meets they eye" as they say. His conversations with other characters can be hilarious as well (especially with Alistair and Morrigan, really).

Who I'd choose depends on the character you're going for. If you're going for a more good-aligned character then choose Leliana. If you're going for a meaner character, go with Zevran. As far as interesting conversations go, I actually like Leliana's myself, but that may be my bias because I think she's adorable and love her accent. Zevran I'm not sure of, as I haven't really taken him around much yet (when I get him in my current playthrough I plan to though).

I used Leliana for awhile but the second I got zevran I switched over to him. I didn't feel leliana had a strong personalty, she was too bland for me. Especially when compared to Allistar/morrigan and the crazy things they went on about.

Zevran kind of reminds me of Antonio banderas (voice) and he feels more "real", not some goody too shoes.

Also, I never felt leliana did much in combat. her damage was sub-par and her ability's stunk. Zevran actually does good damage.

It's all about the combos. Zev and Lelianna have some funny conversations, (but I find Sten and Morrigan's even more hilarious).

Zev is consistently funny, but he's sleazy.

Oh how I wish I could have five party members instead of just four on my female warrior playthrough. That lineup would consist of me, Leliana, Morrigan, Zevran, and Oghren. A veritable banter dream team. Ass grabbing hijinks all around!

I'm so glad I saw this, as I was wondering myself who the best combos would be, but didn't want to venture over into spoilers to find out. I thought I'd have to go through lots of experimentation for a good banter group. But I think I'm set on Morrigan, Zev, and Ali. I just hope not taking a healer along doesn't hurt too much or I might have to take someone out for Wynne.

Leliana's bard talents are pretty solid, but I usually go with Zevran because my PC is an archer.

I say Leliana, if for her bard skills alone. But then I love Leliana and would probably never advise against taking her.

Zevran. He and Alistair have a great banter, and Zevran's bet is priceless.

I've not used either that much.

But, my 14 year old son playing a male Dwarf noble is practically rolling on the floor with some of the things Zevran is saying.

Leliana has some good banter with Sten. Alistair has some good stuff if you're on his romance path with lots of people (particularly with Oghren and Sten), but I don't know if I've noticed much with anyone else (though since my character is a mage, I don't play with Morrigan much).

Personally I've found Oghren to be one of the funniest (but definitely PG-13 or R, when Alistair asks him if he's just making them up at that point I think that entire conversation is hysterical).

Are you looking for lol? Serious and contemplative? ****y and snarky?

All of the companions have good conversation, but the type of conversations can vary wildly.

I had Morrigan and Alistiar in my party for awhile. Most conversations went like this:
Person A: Insulting question
Person B: Insulting answer
Person A: Snarky retort
Person B: Snarky and insulting response

It would never occur to me that they had a shred of depth if all I heard was the Morrigan/Alistiar banter.

In fact, I found the antagonism between them horribly forced. He's an ex-Templar and she's an apostate!!! Only.. he hated the idea of being a templar and joining the Chantry and finds mages rather interesting. She hates his stupidity, but he never comes off as being any more stupid than every other character.

They bicker because their bickering is funny, not because it makes a great deal of sense.

If you won't be making too many goody-goody decisions in the game, or are very much against All Things Chantry, then I'd recommend taking Zevran over Leliana.

Zevran tends to ask characters questions you yourself are tempted to ask others imo. From what I've seen at least.

Yes, I've just been discovering this in my current playthrough. The "big softy" stuff just gets me every time now.

You can get the respect add on which will get rid of spells you don't use/need and let you customize the characters how you want. There's also a no level add on. This helps to enjoy the game more for me.

my only dissapointement really .. it's there's no 3 way conversation .. Kinda like..

Morrigan :Allistair we know

Allistair : Really? if you *know* than why asking me?

Zevran : Just do it Witch .. Maybe Allistair will be less of a cry baby

Allistair : Do what? I don't like you .. I know what you're doing.Always staring at the Grey Warden ass.

Moriggan :What? You Better stop that or i change you into a frog

Zevran : Look like he might love more my dagger than your Plug

Aillistair : MY EAR MY EAR.. Seriously..

There are some three-way conversations ;)

I had Morrigan/Zevran/Alistair once and it cracked me up :P

My main char is a Dwarf Warrior and I always play with (no pun intended) Morrigan, Wynne and Leliana. It's hilarous because they get into b*tch fights. But whats weird is that Morrigan has a 60% approval rating and I kissed her already, but Leliana has almost a 90% approval rating but I cant get any further with her then the standard conversation.

Zevran, Leliana lacks flair.
