Hi
I have un-locked anders ability to heal and revive fallen members but he does not use them in battle. Panacea is always on in battle but he never uses Regroup or Aid Allies or Heal. What are the correct settings for these to be used can anyone advse.:crying:

I use

Ally, Health<25%--->Heal
Party Health: At least 2 allies<50% health-->Activate: Panacea [I don't keep Panacea running]
Self: Party Health: At least 2 allies <50% health-->Aid Allies
Ally: Status=Dead-->Regroup

Works OK for me, although I'm still new at this so there might be a more effective set-up.

EDITED: I rechecked my tactics and corrected this post because I remembered them wrong!

You don't need Panacea on for anders to use the abilities (its a bug).

But yes I tend to run him more sensitive than the default settings, rather than waiting for 3 people to be below 50%, I set it at 2. Sometimes change to 3 people below 75%.

Best tactic I've found is to ignore Anders entirely, then kill his sorry ass when he murders the Grand Cleric. Hope that helps :)

Hey there Saalikh - we seem to be asking similar things!

Finding the 'Party Health' bit isn't very easy, it's in Anders tactics list under 'Self' right at the bottom. So, choose that and then in the next box choose to 'Activate Mode', then 'Panacea'.

Now if we can find out how to turn the damn thing OFF, we're sorted!

ally: hp <50%: heal
(self: more than 2 party members less than 50% hp: activate Panacea)
ally: status: dead: activate Panacea
ally: status: dead: Regroup
(self: more than 2 party members less than 50% hp: Group Heal)
self: any: deactivate: Panacea

edit:(***) is heal wrap added

I've been toiling with Anders tactics since I got him. He just wont cast aid allies or regroup and I checked and double checked the settings. Real annoying.

my tactics for Anders' healing abilities.  The logic jumps for toggling combat modes take up a lot of space, so try to avoid having more than two.  This covers all his healing/recovery options, including potions.

1: Self: Health < 25%: Use Item: Health Potion (I'd rather burn this than a heal cycle)
2: Self: two ally < 50%: Panacea On    (obvious condition)
3: Ally: Health < 75%: Jump to 5  (Someone is hurt)
4: Self: Any Panacea Off  (Condition 3 has failed, noone is seriously injured)
5: Self: Two Ally <50% Health: Aid Allies
6: Ally: <50% health: Heal
7: Ally: Status: Dead: Regroup
8: Self: Mana => 25%: Deactivate Death Siphon
9: Self: Mana <25%: Activate Death Siphon
10: Self: Mana < 10%: Use Lyrium Potion

never use the default settings for 1

Ranged has the inheirant trait of forcing the character to run away if an enemy is close by.  thus ignoring every other set tactic.

So if not Ranged then what is the correct setting, i had mine on Caution and it still did not do anything.

i use behaviors like this:

Outside? Ranged

Inside or tight space? Cave, Foundry, Warehouse, Underground: Aggressive

Aggressive will also allow characters held in place to continue to attack and use tactics while in close quarters with enemies. However, you will need to move them manually during combat regardless of Hold being active or not. But it is better than having a worthless companion.
