The thing is, during my last playthrough i noticed again how she is justifying her actions of killing people with feelings she had about those people going to betray her. Up to now i credited it to her paranoia and utter lack of trust in anybody but herself. But this time it got me thinking (possibly caused by lack of sleep at that time): Asari have this ability of mindmelting so there is an in universe example of some sort of thelepathy and Asari are the strongest biotics, too. Furthermore the Shadow Broker files on Jack state that she was a perfect for the Cerberus Projekt hinting that even without the project she would have become an rather talented biotic. So could it be possible that all this tinkering with her brain, besides further strengtten biotic powers, awakened some sort of subconsious form of thelepathy which makes her able to read the intentions of people in her surrounding that she, as she isn't aware of it, interprets as hunch.

On a sidenote it would be a additional explanation for her beeing so iritated by Shepard. With Shepard having a rather special mindset (don't know a better word for it), beeing able to withstand the prothean beacon and even possibly Morinth trying to seduce him (talking about the scene during Samaras loyalty quest) she is just not able to read him like she is accustomed to.

Furthermore it would shed a whole new light on her wanting a "silent place".

Any others got this idea, or is there something i missed that supports or contradicts this idea?

Interesting. It's seems semi-plausible as of right now, though I would say that Shepard's ability to withstand Morinth is more down to willpower and practice.

Also, it doesn't exactly contradict your theory, but it does chip away some of the plausibility: If strong biotics could create a measure of passive telepathy why can't asari do this? I mean, they can mind meld but it has to be intentional and is actively initiated (think black eyes).

The only other example of near telepathy would be Aria in Retribution. She really is nearly telepathic but it is attributed to being able to read body language.

The mentioning of the Asari (beside the possible conection between strong biotics and telepathic abilitys) was meant to give an example of the possibility of telepathy in the Mass Effect universe but it wouldn't be necessary for telepathy to manifest the same way with everyone (take for example Morinths Dominate or the Ardat-Yakshi at all).

Furthermore the Asari possess this ability for ages, guess it didn't start out with the ability to melt your mind with others to create offspring but with something smaller. Would be interessting to know which came first for the Asari, biotics or their other abilities.

In case of it being actively initiated: with the Asari this might be a necessity, if the whole race possess this ability they might have gone insane at an early stage if it is active all the time so you would need to develop control over this power which at some point (after several centuries) will inverse the power from being "willingly surpressed" to "dormant and needs activation".
But i won't deny the possibility that this power needed activation right from the start, even in Jacks case it is possible to be an activated ability, with it being activated subconsiously as a form of self-preservation and just never shut down again.
