I will if they let me. In ME2 they did and as a result I was able to continue on from my one solider class canon Shepard four other times playing as a different class each time, having fun with the different combat styles but keeping my ME1 choices intact. I'd love the same privilege in ME3. I suppose I could take each of my four different class playthroughs in ME2 and import them each separately if they dont let you change the class of an imported character, but it would be a great disappointment to me. Each of those different class playthroughs has slightly different choices and different rengade paragon point spreads and different DLC completed. Thats great for player you want to experience different story branches, but id rather just replay for different class gameplay.

I tend to stick with the class I started with in ME1, but I plan to do a run with each class eventually.
So far, I've done vanguard and soldier, am almost done with infiltrator, and am working on an adept.

I might just stay Vanguard considering that charge will remain an important facet to the class in the third game. I hope they make it more awesome than it already is

Sticking to Vanguard.

I will add that on my most recent playthrough I went Sentinel with Shredder Ammo bonus power and added the Assault Riffle during the Collector ship mission. With that set up I felt ultra powerful and satisfied. The tech armor was a huge help playing Arrival yesterday, I would have been died 1000 times over without it. I also really liked playing Vanguard, especially with Reave as my bonus power.

No way, six classes, six characters, from ME1 to ME3.

Will be sticking to Engineer on my "main" playthrough... though I'll ultimately play ME3 with every class (several times), as I have with ME2.

In ME my Amelia Shepard was a Soldier. In ME2 she was a Vanguard. I may change again for ME3.
However most people stick to class because they like it. Or its immersion breaking to change. I hear the latter a lot. Why does Shepard suddenly have biotics? ect. The lack of any explanation to class change meant I had to write what happened in a biography entry for her. Which you can read here if your interested
Basically it explains how she got biotics and it allows me to give her any class I choose in ME3 if I want and dont have to worry about why or how it happened.
I know changing class is as easy as clicking a button. But when your invested in your Shepard it really isnt that easy somtimes! You want a reason behind it because we all hate things that dont make sense!

Started as a Soldier, then went with a Vangard, but I think I will stick with the last one. But I will change, again, the face of my main Shepard.

For one of my ME1 playthroughs I was an adept. I just recently completed that playthrough and was thinking of switching over to vanguard for ME2 mainly cuz I already played thru ME2 as an adept. Then maybe a sentinel in ME3 (for variety) or I may just stick with the vanguard idk

I agree with the immersion breaking thing...I can see that. I am a Soldier...I played both games as a Soldier. I also played ME2 again as an Infiltrator and liked it. I lost Garrus in my canon story to Seeker swarms, so I might switch up for the team...

I might I changed all my adepts to soldiers so now if I'm thinking maybe I should change one back and switch the other to be more biotic.

I have multiple playthroughs and try to play each one differently and use different classes. If ME3 adds a new class I will probably try that one as well.

Yep. I'm currently re-doing my Vanguard playthrough NG+ on ME2 and just started an engineer on ME1. My first playthrough of ME3 however will be my goodie two shoes paragon soldier shepard

I switched from Soldier to Infilitrator, and back to Soldier again for Assault Rifles. But my femshep was a Sentinel in ME1, I changed her to a Vanguard in ME2. Charge is a fun power, but I wish I could have more weapon variety. Oh well.

They let us change classes arguing that we were reconstructed by cerberus. I wonder if they will let us changes classes again in ME3 and what reason will the argue.
In my main ME1 play i was a soldier, and the class saved my ass several times with the sniper/assault rifle, big armors and huge life. But for ME2 some other classes improved a lot, and heavy armor was not that esclusive anymore and soldier overall went down, so i gladly changed class.

I have enough characters that I probably won't bother changing any. That being said it might depend on what game play changes they make. If there as dramatic as from 1 to 2 then I might. And if they let my engineer keep her mattock then definitely not...

I will be very pissed off if we cannot change the class... **** in-universe explanation, it is not needed, as class has zero impact on dialogue and cutscenes (there was one line of dialogue that admitted Shepard being biotic, if he/she was one, from Kaidan). I have multiple characters of course... whether i change class depends purely on changes to them in ME3. If Adept is staying very similar to what it is now, i will change my Adept Shepard to something else for sure. Others, dunno. My Vanguard gets changed too if shotguns will feel as weak as in ME2 (they're not THAT weak, just feel)...

I've never really tried to play as anything other than a Soldier ( yeah, I'm one of those guys ) so I'm interested in toying with a new class for ME3, I hear great things about Vanguards in ME2 although I would really miss my Assault Rifle and my Sniper Rifle , I can't imagine playing a 3rd person shooter without both of the above.
