My all Paragon Shep is a Male Soldier and my all Renegade Shep is a Male Vanguard... those two are carry overs from ME1... I have 3 new characters I started from ME2, which is a Renegade Female Adept, a Middle Ground Male Infiltrator, and a "What I would do" Male Engineer

i love the vanguard, the whole solider biotic hybrid is perfect for me. i hope they dont focus the class too much on the shotgun though, i tend to favor my SMG or AR on my vanguard (pistol in ME1).

i tried the adept but they're alittle weak on the gunplay, so i'm sticking with vanguard and getting yelled at for not using my shotgun all the time like every other vanguard player :(

My Canon Shep is always an Adept, I have one for FemShep and one for ManShep (to see the variations in game and line delivery etc), but after I play my Canon Sheps I play all classes.

i was a vanguard then and im a vanguard now. i consider myself an adept at heart tho, even tho the vanguards simply better. if the adept could ever actually be a weaponless dominant CCer it should be, then id leave the vanguards to the chargaholics.

Vanguard since ME1 cuz only kool kidz play vanguard.Image IPB

I'd like to see more biotic powers for vanguard in ME3 though. Was thinking since we mod our weapons again that would remove our 2 ammo talents so we can replace them with warp and throw. That would make me 1 happy chicken.Image IPB

I've been an Infiltrator since day one, and I'll probably die as one. I just can't picture myself playing anything else.

I have a different Shepard for every class, don't really need to change this in ME3.

The majority of my Shepards will keep their class. Except for the one Sentinel I have. I didn't really like that class.

I think I'll start with my canon Sentinel and then move on to the Engineer, which I've heard a lot of positive things about.

Last will probably be Adept and Soldier. Those two are just boring.

Depends on the new skills/powers. I played a Vanguard in ME1, then I switched to Sentinel in ME2 and also did an alternate PT as an Infiltrator. I'll probably end up trying them all out and seeing what I like, but I'll likely start with a biotic class, since I'm hoping to keep Garrus and/or Ashley in my squad for most of the game.

Well just took a look at confirmed features thread ammo powers are still talents in ME3 but they did say skill trees were longer.
Still remaining hopeful for more biotic powers for vanguard  Image IPB

I switched my class from Soldier to Vanguard on my first playthrough of ME2. But that was for roleplay purposes, like biotics happened to be one of those upgrades they added to Shepard during the Lazerus project. Unless a story justification arises at the start of ME3 I'll likely stick with Vanguard.

I am not considering changing my class.. My first Shepard has been Vanguard from the start. I've loved the combination of Super Powers and Shotguns from the get go and it still doesn't get old.

Sticking with adept from my main playthrough, it's just so much fun and effective.

I will be very pissed off if we cannot change the class... **** in-universe explanation, it is not needed, as class has zero impact on dialogue and cutscenes (there was one line of dialogue that admitted Shepard being biotic, if he/she was one, from Kaidan). I have multiple characters of course... whether i change class depends purely on changes to them in ME3. If Adept is staying very similar to what it is now, i will change my Adept Shepard to something else for sure. Others, dunno. My Vanguard gets changed too if shotguns will feel as weak as in ME2 (they're not THAT weak, just feel)...

Im pretty sure bioware comfimed you keep your same class from ME2 in the Gameinformer article.

if ME 3 will give me powerful melee class, then I will take it just like stabbing, shooting arrow, swinging electronic sword, martial arts. that will be very interesting. I am not interested in changing class if there is no special class lie that.

played vanguard in ME1 and ME2.

im not against changing my class though, i'll certainly change my class if they pidgeon-hole vanguards into always using the shotgun anymore though.

I am a born and raised soldier, and nothing is going to change that in ME3. The soldier was a TANK in ME1. My soldier could take direct missles and shrug them off with still enough shields and health for three more. I was kind of let down in ME2, but they said the class trees will be much better an expansive, so I'm hopping for the walking boulder to return.

Soldier with electronics in ME1 = TANK / BOULDER / FREIGHT TRAIN = AWESOME

I'm gonna lay the smackdown as an Infiltrator, because that's where it's at.

I don't think they will allow the player to change their class. It made sense to be able to change it in ME2 because you died, but not for ME3. Unless they have confirmed it a ready, which I don't think they have, I really don't think it makes sense to be able to.
IMO, it takes away from the originality of a certain play-through. I just have different classes for different Shepard's

Anybody considering changing your class? What class were you in previous game(s)? Why do you like your class?

Not really. I've played a Vanguard for the first two games, and I really enjoy it. Only downside is the lack of Assault-rifle training, but you always end up being able to choose that as a bonus ability during the campaigns anyway. The slam ability is my bread and butter in ME2.
