I don't think they will allow the player to change their class. It made sense to be able to change it in ME2 because you died, but not for ME3. Unless they have confirmed it a ready, which I don't think they have, I really don't think it makes sense to be able to.
IMO, it takes away from the originality of a certain play-through. I just have different classes for different Shepard's

Do you know how annoying and tedious that would be? The second I don't feel like playing as Infiltrator for example, I have to create a new character in ME2 with the choices I want, play through the whole damn game again with DLCs and all, and import it, not counting the possibility that there might be a limit to the number of imports.

Sticking with Infiltrator. Just can't play anything else. The changes I've heard to CQC might make the class even more fun.

Staying Infiltrator...is my favorite class and it's sounds like Infiltrator will be even better in ME3...I'm really looking forward to seeing what BW is doing with this class in ME3.

Nope, soldier it was and soldier it will be. I actually can't put myself to playing anything other than a soldier. Sure biotics and techs are very nice, but in my mind Shep is a simple soldier always was and always will be. Besides I tend to play a lot of rpg games as a mage so a soldier is something different.

Changing class? No
Changing char? Yes
In ME1 and 2 my main was Jane Shepard, engineer. She has now been replaced by Vincent Shepard, infiltrator. All the main choices remain the same. (The only differences are colonist vs earthborn, noone vs liara and losing noone vs losing jacob and jack.)

We won't be able to, according to current information about the game, and I am not planning to (I did change from infiltrator to engineer when going from 1 to 2, however) but I consider such feature to be expected and desirable: it's another game, after all.

I have a save game of each class, so no need to change.

This. (well, my Engineer is still in work and my Infiltrator is dead, but there´s still more time and also masseffectsaves.com =D)

And I don´t really think we´ll be able to change our class again. As already mentioned, in ME2 we could do it only because Shep died...

Oh no, this sucks!
I switched my canon femShep from vanguard to soldier only because I was told vanguard was more difficult in ME2.
I would very much like to switch a third time! I like infiltrator best. Sentinel is cool, too, but I'd rather not have my canon femShep be the same class as Kaidan...
So if I get the chance, I'll switch to infiltrator.

I switched class on my paragon manShep as well.
Only my renegade stayed a soldier.

I haven't tried all the classes yet. I'd rather switch again come ME3 than having to create a new character. Doesn't break immersion for me. My Shepards are not defined by their class but by their personalities. I don't even remember what class my second Shepard was in ME1. All I remember is that I switched class *g*

I'll probably keep my class then change it for subsequent playthroughs. Original class for each of my Sheps will be cannon for that shep tho

I have a Soldier and a Vanguard.

I'm thinking about doing an infiltrator, but I want to see what each class brings to the table in ME3

I'm a pure infiltrator, my main campaign is with that class.
I tried soldier and vanguard too but my favourite way to see things is from long distance, with a sniper rifle :D
However i'm not sure that there will be a change-class option in ME3 story, but it won't be a problem for me.
I have 3 different characters and everyone of them in ME2 have the same class chosen in ME1.

I have six Shepard's, but two of them are infiltrators; none I plan on switching. So yeah, no sentinel unless I create a new Shepard.

ive always wanted to be an adept and play liek an actual class that takes out enemies without the use of guns, but unfortunately for me, i always end up with the vangaurd at the end since the vangaurd can do everything the adept can, and much much more.

Got a few Soldier playthroughs done and ready - working on Vanguard on Insanity for another one but if given the option to change class I might finally buckle and try an Engineer with one of my Soldier playthroughs. Mmm turrets <.<

2 Adepts
2 Engineers
2 Sentinels
1 Vanguard

Why would I change class?

Nope, but I do hope my Soldier can still use Reave. Doubtful, but it was fun!

I really can't see the point in ME3 that you can just like that change your class. In ME2, you could find your own personal reason to why Shepard could/couldn't use biotics.

But I shouldn't start judging the game yet. Maybe BW founds a good reason to why suddenly my soldier Shepard could start using biotics.

And to answer your question (if is quite clear already) is no, I wouldn't change my class.

I started ME1 as Vanguard and it was in my opinion the most awesome class in the game, in ME2 I started as Vanguard and it turned out still to be most awesome class ingame, so Im gona be loyal for my class of choice
