How far are you (your Shepard) willing to go to save the galaxy? In the Arrival we already made a costly sacrifice but are you willing to have your Shepard lose his/her humanity to save humanity and the galaxy from the Reapers? It would be interesting to see just how far we would be able to go in ME3.

There is no evil.

There is only the top of the food chain.

Hahaha that's a ****in awesome line.

I'd prefer a paragon badass B) save the planet as opposed to someone like Clark Kent :innocent:.

Evil lies in how you carry yourself. Being purposefully brutal for the lols isn't going to stop the reapers. The "Evil" actions in the mass effect game rarely affects the important choices. They tend to be "punch the **** out of this person because they're annoying" or something like that.

Paragon Badass is a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it?
What would a paragon badass do?

@Zulu What is up with your profile pic's eyes? I've wanted to ask you that for like a year now lol

I've always said that Paragon!Shep is Batman, and Renegade!Shep is the Punisher. This largely determines how I think they'll behave in regards to collatoral damage.

That said, my current prediction is this:

Paragon decision - humanity vastly weakened, but the galaxy as a whole stronger. Humans now a minority, but respected throughout the galaxy for their sacrifice. The rest of the galaxy calvaries in at the last moment to help, and the reapers are defeated or at least chased off.

Renegade decision - humans use Collector technology to strike back at the reapers with overwhelming force. They also use suspect tactics, often engaging or harming other races, in order to combat the reapers... destroying relays in systems inhabited by other races, that kind of thing. At the end of the combat, the reapers are destroyed or at least defeated, and humanity stands as the most powerful race in the crippled galaxy... but also the most hated.

Actually we are saving the universe, not only a galaxy, so it's a pretty damn good excuse if you ask me.

This whole thread is anticlimatic. Here, have an off-topic screenshot with my sunglassed Shepard in it:

Paragon is evil because Paragon displays an eagerness to betray human needs for alien ones. It is also condescending and arrogant. A terrible mix.

Rawr rawr Paragon and Renegade represent different value systems that are equally capable of accomplishing the same goals with outcomes prioritizing their different value systems!

Am I doing it right?

Renegade is evil because Renegade displays an eagerness to destroy all other races and make humans leaders of the Milky Way. It is cruel and being a dick. An even worse mix.

Both Paragon and Renegade are the extreme extremes and nobody in their right mind would do half the things they do IRL

I've played almost exclusively Paragon Shep until Arrival, but after seeing just how close it was, I have to say: My ME3 Shep would burn half the galaxy to stop the Reapers.
