Hi guys and gals. I have the original NWN2 disc from when it launched. I've played it before but have uninstalled it over the course of several computer upgrades.

Anyway, I have it reinstalled on my latest computer from the original release disc and have been playing a new game with a new character. I never did get the MotB or SoZ expansions at the time of launch so I was going to buy the Platinum edition.

The question, will the Platinum edition install the expansions over an existing original install and preserve my character so I can take him through MotB? Or does it require a full install of the Platinum edition?

I want to keep on with my current game as I wait for the Platinum, but if there might be a problem, then i'll just wait and reroll in the full Platinum.

Did I bore you with all of that? ha, thanks for any info.

Back-up your My Documents\\NWN2 folder and put it back after you install from Steam.

Oh and uninstall your existing version before installing the Steam version.
