The date being the day that Shepard was started in or imported into ME2. Those pound signs are what I can't advise you on; I believe they're Origin and Career (e.g. Colonist/War Hero) but I don't know which signal which. I know at least one person did the testing to figure that out, so you could search if it matters. I imagine you'd be fine just putting in any digits between 1 and 3, as long as you don't mind it being inaccurate in the loading menus.

From what I've read, apparently steam makes sure all the stuff you need to play the game you have, usually. For example if you need directx version 10 to play the game it will download and install it for you along with the game. I did some research online and it turns out nvidia doesnt allow computers with non-nvidia graphics cards to use physx...
Several questions spring to mind. 1. Can I find a loophole or fix to play the game without having to buy a new graphics card? Anyone? 2.Why understand system requirements is ATI radeon cards listed at all?! 3. Will steam refund me if they or I or bioware can't find a solution? 4. What the heck, nvidia?
Also if anyone finds the fix where you use your ati card to render graphics and a nvidia card for the physx software and link them with that patch, that won't work with my computer because I would need to buy a nvidia card, then i would need a new power supply to power both cards, a new casing/tower to hold the bigger supply, and maybe a stronger fan or cooling system? Not willing to shell out money for new parts when all my parts work fine and are all still under warranty.
Please help me you guys! This is extremely frustrating.

Stupid checks times, do you have the correct disc in the drive, ie disk ONE?
What has changed in the last month since you played?? Updates, firmware, virus protection??
Are you using the same drive that you installed with?? ie do you have 2 drives and have you tried both??
other than this stuff, you should post a thread listing your specs and maybe some one will read and have an better idea.

Please help me. I have bought the ME1 and the ME2 and I bought a lot of Bioware points.
I have installed the games. By starting the ME2 asked for my EA e-mail address and password.
It is not my first original EA game , so what I entered it was an existing account.
Then it asked for the key to the Cerberus Network and I provided it too.
I think it is the same as the CD-key of the game installation , as there was no other code to the game .
( It is also written on the pack that it contains a specific , individual code ).
So the system accepted what I entered , returned to the main menu , and in the lower right corner it writes : " Activation of Cerberus Network ".
Has it now indeed been activated or not ?
Is the Cerberus Network at all accessible ?
I do not have such a menu point as Downloadable Items .
I have then registered the game on the site Social.Bioware.com , which has immediately accepted it.
My Bioware card says that I should go to the site social.bioware.com/redeem and there I should enter the package-points code.
Anything I write in , there comes the answer that the key is already in use.
My keys are new , unopened Bioware keys ; so I do not understand why the system says that.
If I click on profile -> add Bioware points , there I can only purchase new ones.
I do not want to buy new ones ; I want to activate my existing ones that I have already paid for.
Please somebody help me
Thank you in advance

I have a couple of suggestions (namely, solutions); take a look and add/modify them as necessary.
1.3.4 - There are actually two similar bugs. First (rarer), when no power icon can be moved from one character (e.g. none from Shepard, but team mate's move fine). Solution: save and reload. Second, the one already described (when trying to move one power icon onto the bar, but another icon moves instead). Solution (100% success rate for me. The crashing stopped once I tried this out): note which icon IS moving and then stop at once (release the key). Next, move the icon which was actually moving and release it anywhere on the screen (i.e., you don't actually have to map it to the bar; just move it). Now you should be able to move the icon of your choice. If the problem persists, repeat; otherwise, save-reload.
1.4.6 - Of the "F-key" problem on Mordin's Loyalty Mission: the "may" is too weak; it is a genuine bug (100% failure rate if the conditions are met: the bug only "triggers" if you "look around" AND you perform any action which would put a weapon in Shepard's hands). Easy prevention: when you choose to "look around", do not pull out your weapons (so, e.g., don't TAP "F/melee", but click and hold).
Thanks again.

One thing I'm not clear on:

I'm not certain what the underlined part means. Do you mean release the HUD key (default Shift), and then hold it again and do the "move and release the icon that was moving" trick?

* To clarify my ambiguous statement:
The SHORT answer: no, don't release the HUD key; rather I mean release the mouse key (= the key which is being used to drag the power icon).
LONGER (for those who like to read): Basically what you're doing is aligning your intention with the computer's faulty processing, by intentionally doing what the computer is wrongly "doing".
So, rewording the original: from the so-called Power Wheel, one clicks on and holds the Power-X icon and starts to drag it to the "hotkeys" bar, but instead the icon for Power Y moves. Solution: keep Y in mind, but release the mouse key, i.e., stop dragging the Power-Y icon toward the hotkeys bar. -- [The reason you must stop dragging the (wrong) icon is that, if the game is going to crash, it'll crash when you take the Power-Y icon onto the hotkey bar.] -- Next, _intentionally_ click and drag the Power Y icon from the "power wheel", and release it anywhere on the screen. At this point, the problem should be solved, and you may map the powers of your choosing.

Thank you in Advance.

I haven't tested anything posted there though.
