It never ceases to amaze me how many women go for the broody-type males.
I really would like to know, why is he so appealing to you? =/

1) We were not given a non-broody male romance option.
2) Angry sex.

Add "DAT VOICE" and we have a winner, as has been already mentioned, lol.

In all seriousness though, RL me would much prefer the pre-Justice Anders to the broody types. Pre-Justice Anders was fun. :<

Are you going to amaze us again in DA2 with a Fenris dialogue mod? (If a toolset does come out at some point, of course)

I think a lot of people feel really let down by the lack of interaction / chats with the LIs this time around...

I was also really surprised that Anders still followed me at the end when I had had the heartbreak of killing him myself (lol)

I'm not actually sure how much extra dialogue we get now compared to Origins really. Just beause the main thing most of the conversations are about is asking them questions about themeselves. After that it's just a handful of relationship ones. leliana sharing an extra story about love. Depending on the interest after a while it's gone.

Since we're forced to talk to companions more often all we really don't have is being able to talk to them in public. No kissing the LI infront of others. Which was how they also did it in Awakening like ME2 as well. To a point Romances in an RPG is just a few more conversations than other companions. At least they get a new outfit.

If there is a toolset, I will definitely play around with it.  I know what I would like to add as far as romance goes (at least the bare minimum I'd like to add that I think would be feasible), and it will be interesting to see how much dialog there is to actually work with.  While I know of a few pretty bad dialog bugs, I'm not sure if they have swaths of cut conversations or anything in there.

I'm hoping this time around major dialog bugs are fixed via patch.  I feel bad for console users.  Then I can focus on trying to get some more kisses in there ;)

It does feel weird not to be able to show affection to significant others outside set cutscenes.

Hehe.  My husband and I had the same discussion.  We had a waiter at The Melting Pot (fondue place) who was very good at his job, just a normal waiter.

Then we were out one night and we saw him sitting at the bar.  Ohh, the broodiness, the man practically exuded it.  I proceeded to explain to hubby that this was probably a mating ritual.  He looked at me like I'd grown another head and basically asked the same thing.  "What?  What the hell is so attractive about *that*?"

I explained that Brooding Cheese Man was definitely going to be getting some female attention.

Intensity is sexy; and very very rare I find.  Also there's probably a bit of "I want to fix you and make it all better!" in there too.  All that said, they're also generally not the ones you end up with long term.  Once Broody turns to Moody and stays that way, it's sucky.

Back on topic (heh, sorry) I was wondering the same thing about whether you could keep flirting after Fenris dumps you and still bring him back, as long as you don't sleep with anyone.  I haven't been able to bring myself to test it >_<

Like others said, starting a romance with other ends Fenris's romance. As far as I know Isabela's romance is started by saying 'I'll do it for a kiss' (she will come to your house after that, with sufficient approval, even if you didn't do the Questioning Beliefs quest), Anders's in his Questioning Beliefs after 'Dissent'; not sure about Merrill (does anyone know what starts it? Flirting in her Questioning Beliefs in Act 2, like with Anders?)

edit: It's not sleeping with someone else that ends Fenris's romance but start of a romance (i.e. when the romance flag for another companion is set). I learned this the hard way. >_< Had to replay several times.

Ooh that's lame. He must be the jealous type, won't even let you flirt a little ;)

I wouldn't say jealous exactly. He probably does the same thing as Isabela - decides that you aren't serious, and thus emotionally distances himself.
