The PS3 I've played this game on the majority of the time is brand new (a slim). I have almost 50 hours on my main save (with another 12-15 on another save) and up until I got Arrival, I'd had no freezing issues. Now, I've had three freezes in the last day. The first one was while playing Arrival. The sound plays, but the video freezes. The other two both happened on the Normandy, shortly after walking out of the elevator (first was on the Crew Deck and second Engineering). All three freezes have been on three different saves (including one I just made tonight). The only fix is to reboot (or shut off) the PS3 (slims don't have the switch on the back, so you have to use the power button).
Arrival played fine other than that one freeze, but the freezing issue has persisted and I'm a bit mystified as to the cause, as said, the game played fine with no freezes prior to getting the DLC. Does anyone have any advice? It's a new PS3, so I highly doubt it's failing or anything like that (I've had it less than a month).
I also got the 7.99 DLC weapons/armor pack yesterday, but played the game several hours prior to getting Arrival with no issues. The issues did not seem to appear until I got Arrival.
I don't really have a lot of experience with DLC, so again, advice would be appreciated. Thanks
