 While there aren't many noticable effects now,

Perhaps in DLC or DA3 we will see what became of Morrigan's demon baby/god-child/etc.

If so, what do you expect the repercussions to be?

My thoughts:
Being that a life had to be taken to destroy it, and we cannot necessarily trust Morrigan (given how she went the whole time with the Warden hiding her true purpose)... I think it's possible we may lose a LI in a future turn of events as a trade off for keeping a LI/oneself alive in DA:O.

Eh, I wouldn't mind OGB as a potential companion, but I don't want to be them. No thanks. I'm seriously holding out for the chance to be another Amell.

I expect OGB to be a plot point in DA3. Either as a companion, villain, or Flemeth-esque character.

What do I expect the repercussions to be?

I expect the repercussions to be an insane amount of outrage over the massive retcon required to make the DR canon, thus invalidating every game that ended in the US.

Otherwise, yea, a lot of ****ing about being limited to playing a human male.

Nah, we already had those in the period leading up to Awakening. I'm pretty sure everyone complaining at the time, myself included, now simply metagames that decision into having Morrigan impregnated or sacrificing the other Warden.

A DLC would be nice for those who have the DR as their canon. Personally I don't DR but I'm sure if its decided that it is canon that won't matter. Except to me and others like me who will seethe quietly while muttering outraged comments.

You sure? I keep seeing these billboards in the boonies that say the world is ending on the 21st of May. That said, DA3 will be coming out on the 20th of May, 2011.

On the subject thou, some people didn't even make the demon baby possible. So, what happens to their DA:O stories? Gets ignored? Or maybe Morrigan stole their semen while they slept?

Or perhaps Morrigan has a child on her own; from what I can tell, Morrigan's ovaries are still functioning since she can have a child with a male Warden regardless. The OGB may turn out to be a not as powerful as originally imagined kid; still an awesome mage in their own right, but not Archdemon: Now With A Hot Mom.

I do remember reading on the forums the devs say that if the DR wasn't done, the OGB doesn't exist. Of course, that was before they decided to magic Leliana back to life and make Anders and abomination who abandons the Wardens.

Bleh, I hate everything about the Old God baby. If I find out in advance that it plays a major role in DA3, I might just not bother buying it. The idea of a war with the Chantry is great, and I'm looking forward to it, but Morrigan and her sub-story have an impressive ability to sap the fun out everything they touch.

Not entirely...  In fact her 'Sub-Story' could add more fire to the war. Unless you didn't think that through...??

on a mage using her magical evil dark talents to consume the taint of
the ArchDemon in order to have a destructive force? That will make the
Chantry REALLY want all mages done and killed.

I definately agree on another Amell. I mean is it a mere coincidence that they allowed TWO of the Amell line to be featured in the Age of Dragons? That means by little evil god baby boy will be an Amell not known for  agood thing but evil... But still.
Plus I wouldn't mind them adding a distance off child from Hawke or Warden that no one knew about. After all we need someone to take on my over-powered child who not only had Archdemon essence but two very potent Mage parents. *nods*
