That's pretty much how I felt playing ME2.  I know the feeling......

Yeah, I sadfaced at the lack of Wrex, but his new role was pretty sweet, ya gotta admit.  Liara, meanwhile, was the star of her own super-duper mission pack (which you had to pay for seperately, damn you, capitalism), and that mission pack is arguably better than the rest of the game.

Garrus and Tali returned, though.  That's 40% of the old squad back, yay!

The VS, however, still needs to be vindicated.  But that's just one epic fail out of five.

You know, Elite, people would take you more seriously if you weren't so snide and antagonistic.

You act as if I care what people think. If they want to be ignorant because I have to be strict with them, due to how misinformed/biased/wrong they are, than they're beyond help even if I hadn't said anything.

Case in point.

I don't have enough face palm for this.

Like that changes anything? I point out the hypocrisy in what Bamboo said and that's all that should matter. How I worded it shouldn't matter, especially with how Bamboo ignorantly worded is weak responses.

Which I point out again, Admiral, that you ignore because he happens to agree with you. As I said in the past. Either keep quiet or point it out on both sides of the arguement.

Of course I wont hold my breath. You have a history of targetting me while ignoreing those that do much worse than I could ever hope.

Oh a whole mission pack!?  In which she grimdarks her way into being the shadow broker.  If at the end of ME1 you would have asked me what the most ridiculous continuation of her character could possibly be, that pretty much would have been it.

Using moon logic to match your view point does not count as "pointing out hypocrisy" especially since you seem to think most people agree with you, they don't.

Garrus and Tali should both be locks to be back. They are just as much a part of the trilogy as Shepard. Everyone else i'm unsure about.

Miranda - leaves Cerberus, and has no where else to go

Jacob - see Miranda

Grunt - you are his battlemaster, he should stay

Jack - she does say she may leave once the SM is over, so she's up in the air

Samara - She also states she will leave, so may not retuen as a squadmate

Mordin - doesn't say he will leave, fans love him, he should stay

Legion - he was made to find, and help Shepard, seems silly for him to leave

Thane - is dying, will either be dead, or close to death by time ME3 rolls around

Zaeed - doubt he returns

Kasumi - doubt she returns as well

So I say returning will be

Garrus
Tali
Miranda
Grunt
Legion

50/50

Jack
Mordin
Jacob (most fans seem not to like him)
Thane

Cameo

Samara
Zaeed
Kasumi

Just my guess for ME3. I just hope the entire crew isn't brand new. That would kind of suck, imo. I say added 3 new squadmates, and bring back Kaidan/ Ash.

So my ideal roster would be:
Garrus
Tali
Legion
Miranda
Grunt
Kaidan/Ash
(New) Batarian
(New) Female Turian
(new) Big Ben Sniper

That's a total of 9 squad mates, with at least 1-3 slots open for the characters that are 50/50, such as Jack and Thane. And even if everyone but your Shepard dies during the SM, then you will still have

Kaidan/Ash
(New) Batarian
(New) Female Turian
(new) Big Ben Sniper
And maybe Liara

Much smaller cast, but still a crew to work with.

A sense much biased intentions in this comment. Your avatar being a Garrus one doesn't help your cause at all.

My avatar has nothing to do with this. Garrus has every lore reason to stick around. If you don't know why, I suggest you replay the goddamn games.

But really, the reason why I said he was pretty much a given is because he has a HUGE fanbase, just like Tali. There is a reason why they were the only companions brought back from the first game.

wrex and liara dont really make sense to be squad mates. both have more important roles to play. liara being the shadowbroker and wrex leading the krogans.

the VS can and probably will return as a squadmate.

but to tip-toe around all the ME2 squadmates simply because they can die is lazy writing. obviously the ones that have higher priority for being important and part of your team are... miranda, garrus, tali, well actually those three are the ones i can easily see being deeply invested into the story.

Moon logic? Please, Bamboo. Your attempts at insulting me when you're proven wrong yet again seem to continue getting weaker and weaker in each of our encounters. Of course you could avoid this shame if you would simple stop thinking about what you want and actually look at the facts instead of ignoreing the ones that hurt your biased crusade.

Your rebuttle is the same thing every time, you can't even come with anything new. It's like you have a giant folder and you just copy and paste it.

Now I know you're biased. You don't even try to factor in reasons why they could leave. No, in your eyes they 'must' return but everyone else has a reason to 'not' return. But not Garrus and Tali! They must return even if they can die just as well.

Example - Garrus making his own Squad.
Example - Tali joining the Admirality Board.

Than again, I don't expect you to understand. No, the others can leave but Tali/Garrus can't leave no matter what in your eyes.

So biased in your demands!

Okay, fine.  Check this out--YO, BAMBOO!  PLAY NICE!  Happy?  Jeebus.

Not like that would give you an excuse to be belligerent and insulting anyway.

Bamboo is being somewhat less of a dick.  He could be arguing for every single ME2 squadmate to be auto-killed, for all I care.  You, however, are a recurring problem.

Of course I wont hold my breath. You have a history of targetting me while ignoreing those that do much worse than I could ever hope.

That's pretty rich from you.

But seriously Elite if you're not going to actually contribute to the thread beyond reminding everyone that they're biased, complaining about how you hate everything, and actually engage in discussion please just stop.

Yeah, I don't completely understand the direction they took with her character, either, nor have I entirely forgiven them for it.  But it was a smashing piece of DLC, at least, and I felt enough of the "old Liara" shone through here and there to curb my rage.

I think the change in Liara's character came from Bioware not wanting to have two "nerdy/shy girl" personalities in the same franchise. While it was the most shoehorned character development ever LoTSB gave us a chance to "break through" to the real Liara.

Except they are dead.

yes, if they die they shoud have a significant negative effect on the story.

you know. CONSEQUENCES lol.

if miranda is dead she can't help you hold off cerberus / deal with TIM. can't provide info and resources and connections throughout the galaxy.

if tali is dead you lose your abilities to sway the quarians and you lose the backing of the migrant fleet.

if garrus is dead then you dont have your buddy and shepard is depressed the whole game.

you know, stuff like that. consequences. your choices effecting the story. if you got the important people killed you should be in trouble for that.

Really Admiral?

"Oh, Bamboo agress with what I want and doesn't appear as much as a Dick as the other guy I completely disaagree with even if Bamboo is still a Dick nonetheless in my eyes! Which means I'll pretend that Bamboo is a saint and ignore his dick moves while hounding the guy I completely disagree with! No biased intentions or the such from me! No siree!"

And you wonder why I don't take you seriously Admiral when you debate. You're simply too biased in your arguements and have a history of turning a blind eye to others if they agree with you.

I'm actually expecting that to happen. :P
