I think it could be an interesting addition to the story but I think that Hawke's life is a little too unstable for it to be a responsible decision. At the end of the game (Spoiler!) if you choose to side with the mages, your character ends up leaving Kirkwall and wandering about (/Spoiler). I don't think that a young child would have a good life with your character. Hell, even through the course of the game, your character is in constant danger. We know that Hawke isn't supposed to die, but, theoretically, Hawke shouldn't know that. I think that one or both potential parents would see how dangerous and irresponsible it would be to have a child under those conditions.

This. And there should probably be a 'very' in front of that 'badly.'Raygereio wrote...
Given that BioWare's stance on family in DA2 appears to be "Kill'em all!! It worked for George R.R. Martin!", I'd say this idea could only have ended badly.

i think he/she should have a child or atleast say hawke is/got someone pregnant at the end of the game. it could be interesting to see this child in later games but hopefully not as a short cameo same with the warden's child/children. (reason why i use children is because there is a chance of the old-god baby having an older sibling if your a male noble dwarf).

Yea, I thought it was a bit odd that my Hawke and Anders have been living together for 3 years and never had a kid. They must have known some good contraceptive spells.

The barrier might not hold, depending on how far Fenris' tattoos actually go :|

Well, by the measure of the ESRB, there's sexual content in the game. It's just that the ESRB is evidently staffed entirely by five year olds, who rate games by the amount of "EEEW" (people making out) and OOOW (violence).

I was referring to Morrowind. As far as I'm concerned, bethesda didn't release anything between Bloodmoon and shivering Isles.

Hawke should have children, just might not make 100% sense for S/S romances. Also, Fenris mini-breaks up with Hawke, so that wouldn't make sense. And the child would almost definitely be a mage. What with Hawke's family so mage-erific, 2/5 LIs being magey-wageys, (and Fenris having magic in his blood too, what with Varania and everything).
