Apologies if this was discussed already, but I couldn't find a full list anywhere, only pieces here and there.

When and by whom the origin of the Warden who ended the blight is mentioned? I'd like to compile some info :).

Amell: Leandra talks about how the mage Amell warden is Hawke's cousin. Anders mentions that blight was ended by a mage.

Mahariel: Merril mentions if the warden was from her clan.

What about Surana, Brosca, Aeducan and Cousland?

If Cousland girl marries Alistair she will be mentioned during King Alistair quest. Also I read somethings about mentioning of King Cousland somewhere on boards.

Amell ladies also mentioned by Cullen I hear.

As I never played females on DA:O my limited knowledge about them is what I read.

There's one I managed to get from the Hanged Man I think: "I heard the hero of Ferelden (Cousland) married Queen Anora, but is keeping an elven lover (Zevran). Scandalous."

Cullen will also mention Amell. If male, he will mention how Amell came back to the Circle to save everyone. If female, he will get wistful and say she was quite a woman.

In a Mahariel play where you didn't bring him/her over to DA:A, Anders will mention to Merrill that a 'friend' of his knew Mahariel and told him a bunch of outlandish stories (likely Oghren). The Dalish will also say something about Mahariel, but I only flagged the convo by accident and didn't hear all of it, couldn't get it to play again. :(

I figure there is maybe some reference to each type in the bar I'm sure. I just don't think all would be brought up by companions. Meanwhile Merrill brings up the Dalish asking Anders because he was a Warden that she personally knew. The mother and even Cullen may bring up the Amell cause well they knew them. Cullen even had a big crush on Lady Amell.

Is it wrong that scaring cullen away in the Magi Origin was such gratification?

edit

Oh yeah I'm sure the Dalish in the camp would probably mention a little. Just like one of the variations that only dalish get is Merrill talking about Duncan's beard.

It doesn't state a name; though if you Place either yourself or Alistair on the throne the woman you see helping Fereldan refugee's during the Tranquility quest I believe; when you ask about a Warden she states 'The only Warden I know about is the one sitting on the Throne.'

If you tell the Grand Cleric it wasn't the Maker who ended the blight, I think she makes some sort of comment. At least she said something like "sometimes even an Elf may be doing his work" for my City Elf import.

The only Cousland references I can recall are King Alistair calling her 'ball and chain' (yeah sooo in trouble for that), and the entry in the Hero of Fereldan codex (which obviously will change depending on your origin import)

Bodhan will talk about the warden if you chat w/ him before the Deep Roads expedition, and it varies slightly depending on the character but I seem to remember slightly more info with my Queen Cousland import.

Isabella and Anders have some banter referencing my female elven mage warden when discussing how the two had met before at the pearl. It something along the lines of how Isabella was attracted to my warden or something.

The only reference I heard to a Cousland Warden was when Isabela revieled the relic belonged to the Qunari. She said something like... "It was written by that philosopher of theirs, Kesland, Cousland, something like that." Which of course still isn't a direct reference to the Cousland Warden but still.

Yeah, only human mage and Dalish elf get mentions by name or any real direct reference.

If the Warden was a human mage, Bethany says she wishes she went to the Circle like her cousins because then she could have been the Hero of Ferelden.

I imported a human mage and got the same comment, except mage instead of elf. I'm guessing dwarven Wardens got a dwarf comment.

I don't know if that is true or not seeing as I never imported a female, but all Isabella ever said from what I hear was that she liked the "Lay Warden" which is not a reference to your imported character.

I didn't hear the whole line clearly but its close enough to referencing the PC warden because there were only ever 2 wardens in ferelden at that time. But no its specific.

In DA:A Anders will refer to Alistair as the Warden's ball and chain so it's only fair that Alistair gets to do the same ;)

It doesn't matter how many wardens are present in Ferelden at the time, nobody except you and your party know that for one and for another, Grey Wardens are known throughout Thedas. It would make sense that one of the lady's would decide to take up a Warden "theme" for themselves. Also, griffon tattoos are mentioned, something your character cannot have.
