I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. My 2H warrior's DPS is low compared to the other characters, or at least compared to how I'd expect it to be.
Varric, Isabella and Merrill are at 94, 107, and 76 respectively, and I'm only at 69. Is that normal? I would have thought a warrior would be higher than the others.

get cleave, blood frenzy and sacrificial frenzy. these 3 talents are the key for high numbers. after that fervor and barrage. you will not be able to match a rogues single target dps but you defintly do more damage then a mage in this setup

The character sheet number is meaningless. Warriors have far too many stacking multiplier for it to be any indication of anything.

That's what I was wondering. When I'm up against many enemies getting criticals on all of them I really don't *feel* more powerful than the others... regardless of DPS.

Ugh. I meant *less* powerful. I meant I don't feel less powerful so DPS doesn't seem to mean much.

Isabela and Varric should have higher DPS, since they're rogues.
What weapon are you using? What level? What specs and talents have you invested in?
The strength of warriors is that they can stack a metric crap-ton of modifiers on themselves. Haste and the Primeval Lyrium Rune and Barrage can give them incredible attack speed. Cleave and Blood Frenzy and so on can increase their DPS to absurd levels.
On my first playthrough, I felt my warrior was doing sub-par damage. Then I got her a shiny new sword and started using my buff-y talents (like blood frenzy and cleave) and she did much, much better.
Until she got hit with Isabela's friendship bug. Thanks Bio! :/

As a 2 hander, the dps is a solid number that is dealt everytime, your high strength is more or less the other half of your attack. I found that cunning raises your dps point for point, plus makes you really fast which was a nice perk, I use maces preferably all the time too, they swing more from overhead and just smash and shatter faces, literally. a lot of one shot head squashes, I love it.
But as for the numbers, your attack rating is really high even with a low dps as compared to say rogues, so its just a trade off more or less.
