Ever since I accepted the Last Straw quest via the mail at Hawke's estate, I am not able to enter the gallows without automatically triggering that quest. Since this is an endgame quest, it is impossible for me to do anything else in the gallows, like turning in Dragon's blood to Solivitus or meeting Cullen during Aveline's quest.
Is there something I can do in the developer console that can remedy this problem?

load from a previous save in which you haven't accepted the quest?

This annoyed me a little. I couldn't finish some of my side quests in my initial play through because I went to the Gallows to finish the Herbalist quest, and it initiated the end game sequence. There should have been an "are you sure" type dialogue before progressing that sequence, in the same manner as in the first two acts.

I completed about 5 - 10 other quests before I realized that this problem existed. I can go back, but it's a lot of work to get to where I am now.

Exactly. The option was always there during major plot quests. Heck, even a minor quest like Justice had an option of whether or not you wanted to leave the area immediately.
