General insults really don't bother me. In fact, I kinda enjoy them as a lot of them make me laugh (cool story bro has gotta be my favourite to use - sorry!) and I love any form of sarcasm as it's pretty effective in winding folks up.
If it gets personal, that's a different ball game. Especially if people accuse me of things that aren't actually true.

I use to just say nothing and let it build up when i got insulted, but after working as a barman for almost a year, i became good at reacting in a sarcastic way to it
