FX delays push it back to coincide with the "Thor" trailer

"Warner Bros. is still working hard on their latest comic book adaptation Green Lantern directed by Martin Campbell. Other than the trailer in November we haven't seen anything new. Well, the reason for that is because 3-D and special effects aren't finished. L.A Times had a chance to talk with Jeff Robinov about the marketing.

We are on a learning curve in getting 3-D materials and marketing materials on the same schedule. The advertising campaign "has been delayed strictly from production."

The plan wasn't to delayed the marketing campaign, on which Robinov just said:

"We won't be in this position again."

As for the new trailer, studio is planning to release it with Marvel Studios' Thor in May:

"Warner is finally showing new promotional material to exhibition executives at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week and to fans at the WonderCon convention in San Francisco this weekend. It also plans to release a new trailer that will play with the Marvel superhero movie "Thor" in early May."

Sue Kroll, the studio's worldwide marketing president added that:

"Part of the reason the response to the first trailer was lukewarm was that the big-scale sequences weren't ready to show, and we suffered for it," she said. "We can't afford to do that again."

Green Lantern is set to hit theatres on June 17, holla back."
