I'm a level 26 mage and have completed DA2 twice (first time as a W/S Warrior). After my last playthrough, I thought I would reallocate my points via the Maker's Sigh potion. The default setting for Strength and Dexterity are 12. I did not add any points to them, being a mage, doesn't make a lot of sense. I have the Rune of Valiance in my Champion armor, which is +7 to all attributes. I also have teh Ring of No Wishes, which is +1 to all attributes as well as The Fallen Star, also +1 to all attributes. So, my Strength and Dexterity should be 12+7+1+1 for a total of 21, but it only shows 19. I'm only using these as examples, but it is the same across all my attributes. Tried game support chat, but they said to post  here?

Any thoughts?

Before you use the maker's sigh, try unequipping all of your equipment and placing all of your potions, draughts , and injury kits into your storage.

Then try the maker's sigh and see if it works correctly.

Are you sure the base for Str on a mage is 12? Pretty sure it's 10, which would explain the difference.

Remember, Maker's Sigh is bugged. Might want to create a new mage super quick and pop into attributes to check it out. (I've returned my game so can't do it for ya.)

When you use the Maker's Sigh, it automatically unequips all your gear, including armor, rings and amulets. When I did that, is showed my Strength and Dexterity at 12, not 10. It's very odd, my profile on this site shows a base of 10 for those stats, but the game shows 12.

As best I remember, it unequips anything with a wield req that you no longer meet (e.g., champion armor that requires 31 magic will be stripped) but leaves anything you do meet wielded (e.g., a +2 mana/stam belt with no wield req).

yeah it only automatically unequips only armor and weapons.

I'd still manually remove everything beforehand anyways. It's supposed to automatically remove Isabella's Thumbs Up when she leaves the party, but we all know how that works out...

I also read somewhere that stashing all of you potions in your storage before using the maker's sigh helps.

Basically, I've had zero issues with maker's sigh, and the process I use starts off with stashing all my potions at Hawke's estate, going to the Black Emporium, selling all of my junk, buying a maker's sigh, unequipping everything, and then using it. Not sure if all of that is necessary, but I haven't gotten any maker's sigh bugs while the rest of my game is bugged up to wazoo.

Yep, that worked. Sad how I've beat the game twice and couldn't figure this out.

Bah, don't beat yourself up over the small stuff. :)

Now, if you had to replay the prelude "sibling rilvary" quest three times in the freaking PRELUDE of Assassin's Creed II like I did last night (not used to jumping and climbing things anymore!), we'd have to talk... ;)
