I bet 100 sovereigns that Sebastian is just going to run crying to the nearest chanter's board...

...and put up a sign asking someone else to go destroy Kirkwall for him while he hides in another chantry.

(assuming that you spared Anders)

I regret my my decision to spare Anders, but given he is my only available healer, didn't know if i might need him. Sebastian swearing vengeance did not help matters, because i actually agreed with him in that instance.

I was going to kill Anders until Sebastian started to have that temper tantrum.

Then I spared him out of spite.

Supporting terrorism left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hopefully you have a Living Bethany to mostly replace him after you put him out of your/his misery. No revival skill true, but at that stage, if you have allies dropping that much things need more then a Spirit Healer.

I'm really glad I didn't have The Exiled Prince during my first playthrough, I gladly spared Anders, wasn't even a decision really. Immediately knew what I was going to do.

Going to be a tough choice next time around now that I have Sebastian, he's a pansy and I don't like the Chantry whatsoever, but underneath that I kind of like him. He's a decent guy.

Sebastian gets progressively more jerky and whiny over the course of the game. The bastard even tries persuading Fenris to help him rat Anders and Merrill out to the Templars during party banter. Even Fenris, with all his hatred for mages, turns him down.

I hated both characters, so I ended up sparing Anders just out of spite. I figure it's worse to wander the world hated by everyone, even the people you're trying to help, for what you did. And Sebastian was talking about getting my Merrill locked up, so he can go bugger himself for all I care.

So that person can avenge the MARDAR of the people in the Chantry.

He has that conversation about turning Anders and Merrill in even if Hawke's a mage. Good luck with that, buddy. I loved how not even Fenris would back him up.

Who else laughed at his melodramatic "ELTHINA NOOOOOOOO!!!" after the Chantry blew up?

I kind of liked the guy, but you guys are really swiftly changing my opinion of him haha. My Hawke is a mage

It's all good, Carver will back Hawke up like always :D

I like the guy. I do. Especially the voice. =] Seb's one of the most sane companions you get, I think, and he provides some funny bits. But just like the other companions, he has his jerkish moments, namely the "let's turn the apostates in" banter.

Frankly, I was impressed with the "Noooo!" because it was well voiced enough that I felt bad for him instead of laughing. And then I wanted to punch him in the face for threatening to come back with an army.

People care enough about Seb to make threads mocking or supporting him. If I were the writer, I'd count him as a success. :wizard: It's when people just go, "Eh, who was that guy again?" that there's a problem.

He has the same conversation, mentioning you too.  Fenris says sarcastically, "Why don't you talk to Hawke about it?"

Completely agree with you on most of what you said.

Same reason I think Carver is the best character in the game, almost everyone hates his guts lol. I love the guy though so I am biased.

I definitely like Sebastian's voice, and he's good in combat so, looking forward to hearing this "Noooo!" you guys keep mentioning. Not looking forward to the decision that comes after.

Sparing Anders is fun. Neither the mage terrorist nor the religious zealot get what they want.

I started liking Carver after he said, "If you have a problem with my brother, you have a problem with me."

Before that, you were never really given a reason to like him.

I like that line alot too! And when he gets really honest with you in Gamlen's house.

Carver is an immature douchebag with a severe chip on his shoulder, but he also sticks up for Hawke, protects him/her and deep down he's just a nice guy who loves his family and wants to strike out and make a name for himself.

I really like him, I think most of the companions are really well written and acted out!

The only companion I didn't like very much was Sebastian. He was like a male Leliana, only more preachy and much less interesting.

Totally agree - I was just thinking on my last playthrough that it's a shame sarcastic Hawke can't reply to Sebastian's threat with something like this cause it would be hilarious!

I did, it reminded me of a whiny kid I met once.

I laughed at the kid a lot as well...
