Read my entire post, thanks.
I already did, but watching someone grasp at micrometer thin straws is only funny the first time. Now it's just sad.
Uh huh. Now who is the one avoiding things? Right.
How am I avoiding anything?
You are just repeating your nonsense with a new non sequitur. I said it was because Anders was possessed by Justice You said that Anders said it was "his idea entirely."
You were wrong, get over it.
No, you are just pissed because you're one of those people who thinks they're always right. It /was/ his idea entirely, as they (Anders and Justice) are the same person now. Justice did not make him do anything.
I don't need to get over anything.
Oh boy, now you are trying to claim you were arguing something different the whole time.
Psssst, we can read your posts earlier. You may want to edit them!
So, how we got here I don't know but if we're going to look at Anders' actions and differentiate between what is him and what is Justice, we should note as Laz does that his eyes weren't glowing; indicating Justice wasn't in control.
But...In the interest of putting a finer point on it, in the example demonstrated by Marethari, the demon can be imprisoned in the body without giving it control. It is ultimately the individual who gives in or does not, Fenris is quoted as saying:
- Anders: By now, you must see what an injustice the templars are.
- Fenris: Must I? I see templars trying to control what they have good reason to fear.
- Anders: But they go too far.
- Fenris: Talk to Hawke about his/her mother. Ask him/her who went "too far."
- Anders: You can't hold all mages responsible for that!
- Fenris: It doesn't take all mages to cause this. Only the weak ones.
Which flows well into:
- Anders: Not all mages are weak.
If Hawke is a mage:
- Fenris: True. Hawke, for instance, is not weak.
Otherwise:
- Fenris: Bethany, for instance, was not weak.
- Anders: You specifically don't mention me.
- Fenris: That's also true.
- Anders: I'll prove to you that I'm not weak
- Fenris: Prove it to yourself. You're convincing no one else.
In the end, Anders makes it clear he was in the know the whole time. Only when he allowed Justice to take control was there ever an issue. Other than the Fade where Justice is in control the whole time, there is no other example of Anders not being in control or failing to regain control from Justice.
Also, if you followed Awakenings you know Justice tries to influence Anders but Anders rejects his ideas.
It isn't until Anders truly starts to believe what Justice is telling him is necessary, that he succumbs to the Wil of the Spirit, not the control of the Spirit and starts down this path.
Either way, he acted of his own accord, which is based on the influence of Justice to do what he felt needed to be done. Which again, only further demonstrates the similarities between him and Vael, acting passionately for what he believes. The difference in Vael being the influence of the Chantry and not a spirit..
