I bet 100 sovereigns that Sebastian is just going to run crying to the nearest chanter's board...

Cool story bro, now watch this video and tell me how Anders was in "complete control" the whooole time:

I don't think anyone disputed this, however as you've pointed out time and time again, this is only one part of the overall plot.   Anders condemns himself at the end when he answers the question "Was this you or Justice?"..... "It was my choice".

Pfft, like I'm going to let you get away with saying that.

SO not what I meant.

Anyway, so as not to derail this anymore, Anders blowing up the Chantry and Seb's reaction. Discuss!

...yeah, you're not even worth trying to reason with. Judging from your response to that other poster's well written and correct post, I'm done feeding the troll.

He overanalyzed a bit of party banter that wasn't really even related to what we were discussing.

But don't let me hold you back, flee to your heart's content!

Over analyzed? you based your entire theory on a snip of dialogue when he looses it to Justice never once considering where he stopped and where justice took over talking?.   Hrm... yeah, so my previous post ends the debate. You get used, Anders buys into what the spirit tells him and gives in.

Anytime, I tried to be less "analytical" that time :)

Stop taking quotes out of context.  In the same breath, he also said that he and Justice were one.  Meaning that it was the result of both he AND Justice, not purely his initiative.

Sorry buddy, but pulling silly interpretations from random party banter really doesn't carry the same weight as simply presenting an entire scene within context.

Not sure which "words" you are referring to.  At that point though, you couldn't really trust his word anymore as it was clearly established within the scene I keep having to relink to, that Anders is NOT the dominant personality anymore.

When Hawke pleads with him to not go through with it, it is ANDERS who starts to have second thoughts when Justice suddenly takes over FORCIBLY and makes Anders forget about it.

I regret my my decision to spare Anders, but given he is my only available healer, didn't know if i might need him. Sebastian swearing vengeance did not help matters, because i actually agreed with him in that instance.

Cool! He swears vengence?! Awesome. Then I should spare Anders... Naaaw, he's still the bigger douche.

I loved Anders in Awakening, and he's completely different in Dragon Age 2. Everything he says seems to be influenced slightly or massively by Justice, before he was possessed he wasn't even keen on going up against the templars www.youtube.com/watch, but afterwards now it's all he can think about.

It doesn't clear Anders from guilt, but it does make it hard for me to hate him, when he's not fully in control of his actions and even his thoughts when he is are influenced by Justice.

Edit: spelling.

Yeah, this is my impression: Anders may SAY it was entirely his idea, but if you read his codex entry that gets put in at the beginning of the chapter, he's increasingly acting different, and seems to be acting more and more like he was when he was proven to be controlled by Vengeance (all blue flamey eyed). You see a really good example with the girl in that one quest, when Vengeance almost kills her but you pull him back. Contrast Anders usual behavior with how Vengeance acted then. It was simple then, but as the codex points out, the line does not seem near as distinct anymore.

I very much believe that Anders is not strong enough to remain completely himself, not when he's got a spirit of vengeance within him. He's going to become less and less the old him, and more and more vengeance as time goes on if something isn't done. If something even can be done. There was already a pretty big change between Awakening and DA2's first act. Then the codex documents even further changes, and you can kind of see it as you progress in the game.
