get ridd of the classes in ME3?

ok don't lynch me now, hear me out.

first off, I am talking solely about Shepard, other NPCs can keep their classes....

now this thought was spurred by a previous thread I made in which someone expressed the desire to experience more freedom in approaching combat situations as they experienced in Crysis 2 (it was a thread about borrowing certain elements of customization and visual feel and whatnot).

Removing the classes altogether and assaigning weapon slots and skill slots (limited in number of course and with only one "special" slot for the really powerful abilities like charge, AR and so on) to be purchased and upgraded as one levels up would allow for much more variety and the ability to approach each combat scenario as one wants.
Right now each class is somewhat linked with playing the game a certain way with a certain degree of variation (especially peculiar classes like the vanguard).....but why not allow the player to pick and choose all the skill to tailor their character to their specific playstyle or preferences . After all if one thinks about it it is the next logical step above all after the introduction of the respec option....a lot more could be said in favor ofthis specific topic but the jist of it would be "would people like that"?

i could see it being really interesting in setting up what powers and weapons you wanted each costing a different amount.

however i dont think it'd be balanced and implemented very well. there would be specific builds that are just "the best".

like i play my vanguard as a solider with biotic powers rather than the shotgun charger people generally play them as. so yeah, i'd probably more custom fit my shepard to work that way a bit better, but its not a big deal.
