^ Big problem with that is that Turian's don't look human enough for that, even motion capture would be difficult.

You think so? All they have is the tiny abdomen right? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a video where it showed that every character model in Mass Effect has the same skeleton, so that they can use the same animations. One would think that would make Motion Capture easy

Which First Contact War are we likely to see? There are considerable differences between the original FCW, the wiki version, and the evolution versions.

I'm reserving judgement. Making a movie about the First Contact War does present potential for laziess, but also presents a good opportunity to expand on pre-game events. There's nothing to indicate that this videogame-based movie will be any better off than others (except for the lack of that one dude who shall remain nameless, you know, THAT GUY), but it's also a potentially good direction to take. It all depends on how much effort goes in.

We'll see, I suppose.

Personally I think, making it about the first contact war is probably the best option. Recreating the Shepard story would just create all sorts of problems and like this the movie would actually serve a significant purpose in telling the overall story of the universe.

I expected nothing and now I know nothing will come out of it...great. Im still waiting for a CG movie for Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Do it straight to BR and Ill get it.

I wish they would do a movie about the rachni wars and the krogan rebellion, but this is also great.

I'm pensive as well. I guess I won't really make my mind up until I actually see the trailer. That will tell how much effort they put into story line and graphics. However i am torn. On one hand I'm glad they didn't try to pursue a trilogy that wouldn't have been possible to begin with, on the other hand I'm sad Shepard won't be a part of this and that the Turians will be the enemy of the film.  If this is a movie about the first contact war there won't be any alien allies am I right? Maybe I need to double check that. But one of the neat things about Mass Effect is Shepard's friendship and alliance with aliens. I hope this isn't a really bad remake of Alien Verses Predator with a Mass Effect logo on it. O.O

You want a 20hour+ plot, that you already know, condensed into a 2hour movie where the main character doesn't sound like Sheppard, looks nothing like anyones Sheppard, and has no level of interactivity or decision making.

Go watch a "let's play mass effect" on youtube?

I think Bioware should have made the same move as Ubisoft and produce their own movies.
