So does anyone actually know when a patch is due to be released for the Xbox 360 version - some input from a member of the Bioware team would really be appreciated.  Sebastian (however much I like him) is now beginning to ruin the end of my game. I don't understand i'm not even using him and my damage resistance just seems to keep on dropping.  I'm now at Damage Resistance -20% and the some of the hardest fights are being made unreasonably difficult.  This is not a good way to finish a game I have been thoroughly loving!

Plus I didn't preorder the Signatire Edition as soon as it was announced and pay extra to have that special content ruin my game. It's just poor.  If anything, it's a defective product. It can't be used for its intended purpose and I'm scared soon I may not be able to successfully complete the game if it keeps dropping at this rate.

Is there any advice on how to mitigate the damage to my damage resistance rating? N.B. I'm not using him and haven't even had characters automatically knocked out of party (which normally triggers it)

(Trimmed from General Discussion thread. Apologies.)

So it turns out whenever I return home now (I don't even have Sebastian in my team?!) I lose a further 5% in damage resistance...every time. Thats means no rune crafting, no crafting potions (which I now NEED as my damage resistance is so low). Seriously game-breaking right at the pivotal point of the game. I'm very unhappy.

What I don't undertand is why it's happening now all of a sudden? I've always sed Isabella and I have her +5% stat even when she is not in party, suggesting I her her stat bug too. But I've never noticed any effect, I attack as quick as I did before. I used Sebastian at one point in his companion quest in Act 3 however and now I'm continually losing damage resistance even though he's not being used, even moved cursor over him in party selection. This makes no sense and is infuriating. I cannot express how badly a patch is needed for this. It's terrible it's nearly a full month since release and a truly game-breaking flaw such as this still exists.

Does anyone know of anything I can do to improve this? (Oh and for the record, I want to be able to actually use my home!)

There's nothing you can do. Game is broken, simple as that.

Ah I wish a Bioware team member could give me a response to this. Even just recognition of the problem would be fine, I understand the fix isn't going to happen immediately.

They already know about this and are working on it for the patch; it's the same problem as the Isabela Thumbs Up bug and Maker's Sigh apparently. It has something to do with the abilities list not working properly.

Yeah thanks njlacetti, I've just read through some older posts and noticed a few Bioware comments stating they are aware of the problem and will fix.  It's just a matter of time then. :/ Fair enough.

Supposedly Luke Barrett was going to have some kind of new information on the patch by the end of the week.

Might have some new info on the patch. Maybe. If we're lucky

Isn't that sad. We might get some info on a patch. Might. Bioware has fallen so far.

What gets me is that they seemed to be pretty active in the forums before the game launched, but I don't really see much of that anymore. Before the games release I was really impressed by how much they engaged the community in the effort to assuage concerns over the games quality.

not to play devil's advocate, but perhaps that is because they are busy on getting the patch ready and fixeing the problems? I would say its a GOOD thing they arent posting as much, if they were, we'd all wonder why they arent working on the patch instead.

Or i could be wrong, i dunno.

I trust what Luke Barret has said. He's stated not long ago that information on the update will be available later today (their time) so let's just wait and see before jumping to conclusions.

I've read that you can edit your saved game to restore your damage resists and attack speed.  I've quit playing to give them a little time to fix, as I don't trust my ability to correctly tinker with a saved file, but that might be worth considering if no patch is announced and your jonesing to hit things with a great sword at normal speed.
